ANYWAY! I started back up on WoW retail recently, and was curious if anyone has any tips. (Other then "Reroll", "Quest", etc.) Any real help would be greatly appreciated.
Though considering the responses from my metamap thread, not much is expected.
Well from level 1, I assume, You will have a hard time finding groups, so getting lots of quests, and find a good place to grind is the best way to level.
if ur a mage then you can aoe grind and pass up all the other losers XD

Leveling can take a really long time and make your nerves numb, but I have a few tips that might make it go a little faster.
Tip number one; don't waste any time. Do things as fast as you can.
Tip number two; don't waste your time helping other people.
Tip number three; don't loot unless you're doing a mission or a dungeon or a raid.
Tip number four; select mining as one of your professions, because it's by far the easiest way to make money while your questing and grinding.
Tip number five; do not make a guild, but instead join a big guild that can help you and one that you don't have to do much in like donate money and help other players.
Tip number six; DON'T DIE! If you die, you waste time.
Tip number seven; if you go out and quest, don't come back after every time you finish a mission. Go out and do as many as you can, before handing them in.
Tip number eight; don't do quest that rely on chance. Ex: mission: get 10 boar ribs and 10 condor meats.
Tip number nine; do not waste time trying to pimp out a character. There's plenty of time for that when you max out.
Tip number ten; be prepared to play a lot.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.
If you're leveling for speed you want to do the barrens quests as they are the best still. I disagree with Dfenatic on a few of those tips, like the chance quests. You want to do those because you get to grind mobs (xp) and then turn in the quest for more xp.
If you're stuck on a quest, don't skip the quest or ask for help, just use thottbot.com
Don't grind mobs mindlessly if you're not doing a quest, especially with all the new stuff they added to leveling.
If you have done this as much as I did, getting to 70 is more fun than being 70. to me at least. Have fun and don't get burned out.
if i where u i would stay in the Barrens until u can't do anymore quests becuase as u get higher u can start doing quests in WC and in there u can get alot of xp killing the trash mobs plus the bosses plus the quests even though your in a group u can still get alot of xp

Oh yeah don't bother doing instances. It just takes too long to get a group going and there is always the chance that someone in your group is 12 and they have to go to bed or some shit, that's when the whole group ditches. Big waste of time, unless your really bored and have nothing else to do.
Dungeons are good, depending on your server's size and it's not that hard to get a group. The first two dungeons in Outlands, helped me a lot in my leveling. I would get around 80 k xp per dungeon and that's not counting all the gold and gear that goes with it. If you're lucky, you might be able to do 8 dungeons a day, but don't spend your time doing it. I did dungeons from level 59 to 62. If it weren't for that, I would of taken a bit longer.

Gear doesn't matter at low levels. You can level to 70 with starting gear, but of course it will take longer. I only use the stuff I get from quests and what I loot.
What I meant with the whole dungeons thing was, don't do them until you are in Outland. Hellfire instances are very good for exp if you are short to 62. Lowbie instances on the other hand are still a waste.
as said, the Barrens is where the Horde grows strong.
After that there are quite a few quests in Taren Mill.
Can also move to Thousand Needles till around 30.
Stranglethorn Vale can get you up to 45+.
Tanaris up to 50 (together with Blasted Lands), Un'Goro Crater after that.
By then you should be able to do easy quests to level 58 (Eastern/Western Plaguelands, Silithus).
i strongly recommend instances afer you're 59-60 (aka in Outland). The loot is great and in many cases will help you till 70 in many roles (say tanking or healing gear depending on the class).

Again, help is appreciated.

Awsome. When I get on my computer later I'll try that out. (On the Wii right now. Lol.)
Also, where's the best place to level at Lv11?... (Besides Ghostlands and the Barrens. Lol.)

I heard that instances can give good gear though... Granted that's not exp, but...
