to take it back 5 pages, someone said WoW requires no skill and its slow and shit. i again will tell them to get past level 4. once you start getting into the game there are like 100 different skills to use and a decent battle will require a lot thinking and fast fingers and wits.
Go play SC please and don't talk about a MMORPG being hard, seriosly...
Both have their difficulties. SC is alot more strategy in terms of managing your military as well as economy. WoW is more on the quick thinking and team work in PvP and instances. If there is one weak link the entire thing can go to hell. Today I did an instance where it was my paladin being the tank, a preist, and three mages. We tore through the instance because I for the most part was able to keep up the role of a tank. If I would have died or not done my job well, the entire group would have died. At one point I didn't defend the healer long enough and we did all die.
Its varying amounts of difficulty and satisfaction. When I look at my character who can kill Hordies 4 levels higher than it over and over I like it. When you can beat 2-3 players in one game you smile as well. Its just different tastes, no need to slander him because he finds WoW as challenging as you find SC.
Ressurrecting this thread is only gunna piss more people off. And to stay on topic, Yes I played the role of a tank a lot when I played WoW for a month or so too. I was a feral druid and I mostly played with a healer, warlock, hunter and a rogue. Most of those people required me to stand there and take all the hits so they could dish out more damage. If the healer wasn't healing me then I wouldn't have been able to do my job. If the warlock wasn't doing his part we would have gotten overwhelmed. The hunter was good for support and the rogue had to off tank to speed things along. I know that information wasn't all necessary but you get my point. Equinox I challenge you to play starcraft and win without having a plan.
When you can beat 2-3 players in one game you smile as well.
I don't smile on THAT. Beatin 2 players in SC in a non-money is like impossible unless they are WAY below my level which means I'm playing very, very wrong people...
WoW is new, therefore, less experienced players, less competition, easier game in general. You do not have that high standard to go towards like in SC where everyone has fucking 3000 games or so...

Sure, I dunno what you mean by a "plan", tho. You are probably West tho. I can't go on West much. My nick is Videodron, on East
I don't play SC online. I did a few times but I never got into it but that doesn't stop me from acknowledging its validity. I like both games. I can't afford WoW during the school year let alone afford to get addicted to it during the school year. Hell, Halo takes over during the weekdays anyways. But by plan for SC I mean, You need to scope out your little area that it gives you and plan on where you're going to put your buildings, how you will set up your defense system, how you will regulate getting resources in order to fund your army and keep them upgraded and when you will launch your attack. The game genre is called Real Time Strategy, and that's exactly what you have to do.
WoW is not as new as you make it seem. its been around for 2-3 years now? Sure SC is alot older, but I'm sure WoW has its elite players by now. Probably not as many as SC, but it definately has its own tactics and differences that make it unique and more appealing to those like you.

We are not talking about elite players, those are beyond point they probably play in their little hubs, talking about REGULAR players, players you meet all the time, being way, WAY above your head.
Probably bumped into some newcomers. Those who come, play 3 games, and leave, just like you did. I have a 78-137 win-lose ratio and that's a pretty good ratio in my case... and my iccup ratio is usually 1-1

WoWs been out since september 2004 although ive been playing it less than a year i do know alot of people who have been playing since the release. perhaps there not as rediculously hardcore as old school SC players but they're certainly on there way... give it time. WoW gonna be around for along, you can be sure of that.

There are better games out but it all depends on your taste in gaming. And people don't want to switch from a game where they know what they're doing that is getting maintaned by the maker with support and new expansions to go to a new game where they have no idea what they are doing. Of course it will eventually die out but by then blizzard will have come up with something else to replace it.
Wow will only be around while it's supported. Wow will die the moment it's unsupported it can't function otherwise...
do you really think thats going to happen anytime soon?

I can't say anything... this is too ridiculous.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
