As mentioned in the title: What are you looking forward to to keep you busy till Diablo III is out? (Hopefully by June 28th 2011 - that's right Mags!)
I'd like to see the reasons for your choices too!
I'll go for Dragon Age 2! The amount of time i spent on the first one feels like a guarantee for many times of fun with the sequel! Also the number of choices to shape my character as i please and how they affect the outcome of the game is something i really like in a RPG.
Old Republic looks like just another MMO.
Cataclysm.... meh.
I never actually even played the Witcher games, and Fable is decent at best.
Personally though, I'll be playing EVE Online and Dungeon Keeper till D3 comes out :D. Recently got back into the Dungeon Keeper series, fucking loved those games.

As much as I like Dragon Age 1, or any other games, there's no way in hell a single game can keep me occupied for more than 2 weeks by itself. Unless its a MMO, but I don't do MMOs anymore, they're a sin.
Dragon Age 2 is, though, the only game I care to see in your list. I always mocked Fable as a bad series. WoW should have died years ago. Anything titled Star Wars gets me bored (move on, please?).
The only game I'm waiting for that is good enough to make me want it -now- is Diablo 3.
Whenever i think Witcher there's certain things that come to mind:
-Monster slaying
-Choices that make your mind explode since they all make a difference in the outcome of the game
-Getting drunk
-Gambling
-Getting laid
Should be all you ever want, Zhar
I'd agree with everyone that said WoW should have died long ago... but then i played the new patch. The game finally feels fresh and new again - and it's a big deal for a 6 year old game. Really big deal so i'll be playing Cataclysm at least for a while.
I knew they were working on a new Dungeon Keeper but i haven't seen anything about it (except for a really cartoony wallpaper i think). I loved the first and second games and i'd like to see something like that but i didn't add them in this poll since it's all about RPGs (the 2 MMOs i only added since they're popular franchises and RPGs). I'd also have added Elder Scrolls V but we don't have an official announcement yet, not to mention a release date.
SFJake, have you played Dragon Age: Origins to the end? If so i'm curious how it didn't make you want to play it again for a different ending, it drove me crazy how many possible outcomes it gave me!
These things don't work for me, sadly for me I guess.
There's various endings and various paths to take... Otherwise, most differences are small and individual. So, would I play the game through again, thats 40 hours +, just to see slightly different things? Not really. The outcome remains too similar.
I played twice through the game, one around when the game came out, and one much later. And despite the differences, it felt exactly the same to me. I never feel the need to see it all, in fact I don't like it: When I see all the differences from my original playthrough, I feel like its butchering my first playthrough which I always consider more "real". Weird, uh?
i wouldn't say weird, everyone likes things different, i guess
i really went a different way in almost every playthrough. trying to roleplay a bit. so my first character was this noble fighter that always did everything he could to prevent evil. next was my curious mage that after getting out of the tower tried to see every possible opinion and was weird in too many ways (ended up being a blood-mage btw :P). then there was my female city-elf rogue that was a total bitch, bloodthirsty and very manipulative that ended up betraying her lover (Alistair). all this made the game feel different as a whole (even chose different factions at times - like to have golems from the dwarves, or werewolves instead of elves etc) and the final choice so it made the game feel unique every single time
sorry for the little wall of text, i always get carried away when i think of DA:O
God damn i wish they would make a Dungeon Keeper 3.. The second was a flop compared to the first one IMO but this certainly sounds interesting:
Improvements in the economy and multiplayer aspects of the game were planned, and a new race was conceptualised. In addition, the new race, as well as the goodly heroes, were designed to be playable.
As for what games i will play.. Me and my friends have been Lan-ing in D2 but we recently just finished Hell.. I've been craving some Heroes of Newerth lately but i'm afraid my might computer will lag playing it..
Darkspore is coming up to closed Beta and is looking like a decent time killer at least until ( cross fingers ) D3 Beta or release date is announced...
Also dungeon siege 3 might be an improved game... both worth looking at however I think dungeon siege 3 won't be out before D3 ( or at least here's hoping hehehe )
I play FFxiv. Im a FFxi vet, so I like the the game, but understand how others dont. Really not worth trying right now if your new to the series. Wait until the PS3 launch, the game should be fixed and polished by then.
I said WoW just because I just started. I got it after burning crusade came out and played it for a bit by myself mainly. I mostly only did quests nothing else. I realized I probably missed out on a lot but didn't have much time to really get back into it. But then tehy had this sale on, which i think ends tomorrow and i couldnt pass it up. It was only $59 for all of them, including cataclysm. I started yesterday, hopefully doing instances and raids ect ect for the first time won't consume what little bit of free time I have outside ofwork haha.
Out of those ones, I'd say Dragon Age 2. But overall, I have Gamefly so I get a pretty much constant stream of various games. Right now I have Fallout: New Vegas and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. Black Ops is the next one I'm hoping for, along with the Red Dead Undead Nightmare. I'm also really looking forward to Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2.
I'll probably play catalysm but that Star wars game looks prerty awesome!

You totally didn't put in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. It just came out and I'll be playing it a lot once I get it. Hopefully that'll hold me over til' d3 comes out.
