Would you be offended if I where to say " Merry Christmas" ? If you are I do not mean to offend. What is your say on the correct saying for the season ?

last year where I live some people trying to be politically correct said " o you cant say that you'll offend someone" this year however it seems everyone is saying merry christmas and it makes me happy to hear that.
I hear people saying Merry Christmas a lot more this year too. Makes me happy that they're not afraid/limited to saying Happy Holidays.
But majority of the population of where I live is catholic/christian, so take that for what you will.
I say "Merry Christmas" because, you know, it's fucking Christmas. I don't think I've ever told anybody to have a "Happy Holiday."
I mean, what's the worse that can happen if you accidentally offend somebody? It's not like you went inside a Mosque or a Synagogue and just screamed, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS CHRIST." Then you'd be at risk of offending. And I highly doubt that anybody is going to get butthurt because you wished them to have a good weekend.
Like, really. If someone said that I offended them because I parted good tidings, I would be offended because they had the gall to turn my words around to make it seem like I had intention to hurt them. I didn't, so anyone who does that is a goddamn asshole.
/my two cents

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
Of course you can say merry christmas, it's just words. If anyone gets offended by that, they wholeheartedly deserve it.
That's what I tell people after I say n!&&er, and they still get butthurt. FFS people, words are just words, the person TAKING OFFENSE is the person empowering the word.
Umm It's CHRISTMAS TIME!!!! I'm going to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! not happy holiday, not happy honica, CHRISTMASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
I've always said happy holidays because I have a number of friends from around the world whom the day means nothing to except time off. To my Jewish friends whom I know are Jewish I say Happy Hanuka, to those who are Christian I say Merry Christmas, and to my Pagan friends I say Happy Harmonic Convergence (even though it's not)
