How do you feel about it? (For diablo communities, force will have to take down his videos and people who plan to do beta streams, streams, reviews and other videos alike in general, you would NOT be able to do this or else you will get fined or 5 years in jail).
Indifferent. If it passes through I'm sure that pretty much all game companies will make streaming authorized. I don't see why they would want to prevent it since it promotes their game. If you look at who supports the bill you won't see game developers/publishers anywhere. If you look at the supporters you will only find companies dealing with music, movies and television.
So who do you think is to blame for the making of this bill? The gaming companies? Congress?
Music, movies and television. They want this bill because it is obviously in their interest that people actually buy their music/movies instead of listening/watching them online for free.
Which makes sense but the gaming community will be hit aswell.

Don't you have to pay to stream games anyway?
Gaming companies have little interest because, unlike movies and music, games aren't as easy to pirate. The accessibility of streaming services shouldn't be touched as long as people keep buying game licenses.

I can pirate games just as easily as I can pirate movies and music.
Orly? Pirate your way into a non-private WoW realm, then you have me convinced. All the best selling games are focused on multiplayer that can't be pirated, and that is where big companies such as Activision and EA put their money. That and games like The Sims that won't be pirated anyway because the player base barely knows how to google. Then we of course have the console gaming industry and handheld gaming industry that avoids almost all piracy because of how relatively complex the pirated version of those games are..
Don't panic people. The media will do anything to hype things up - it's good for their ratings/traffic.
As Markus Passion (Creator of Minecraft) and others have stated, if the bill is passed, all the content provider has to do is amend the Terms of Service and the whole issue is averted. That's IF the bill is passed.
This is going to shut down a lot of websites. And I mean a LOT of websites.
By shut down I mean they're all going to move to a different country domain.
This.
Which is funny, considering this Republican Congress got elected to help the economy, and it is currently debating a bill that can, and will, take an entire sector of the economy out of the country.
I've just read about this and this could totally destroy the gaming community in a big way.

Monk > Wizard > Barbarian > Demon Hunter > Witch Doctor
But you can still pirate the game itself.

Its still a detriment to our freedom regardless and can't be allowed to pass.

Par for the course though...
