Let's discuss this masterpiece. I ask that you make sure to clearly differentiate the book from the movie in your posts. Observations on the (social) commentary are preferred over best-movie-evar-esque posts.
I've heard from many that the book is better than the movie.
I enjoyed the movie, but will I enjoy the book as well already knowing the plot and twist?
I actually think that the book and the movie are equal. While the book has many more scenes than the movie, and the way Tyler and the narrator meet is cooler, (in my opinion) the ending of the movie is way better than the ending of the book. Even Chuck Palahniuk said so.
I know someone that has watched fight club so many times that they actually turned into Edward Norton. He sounds, acts, and even looks like him, yet he never mentions it unless you have the insight to mention it to him.
At first glance, the progressive plot of the movie can make one boring, but as the seconds fly by, it starts to get more interesting by the second, and ultimately, you realize what a masterpiece it is that you are watching. Sort of like Memento. However, if you own the DVD, you can pause it, and actually spot Brad Pitt around some places before he meats Norton..he flashes twice or thrice..pause it, and you can see him. I noticed that after watching it the first time..so it thankfully didn't ruin the experience.
we can't discuss fight club, everyone knows you can't discuss fight club. Whats wrong with you?!!? Don't make me go get some human fat and blow you up with it!

myself i havent read the book but the movie is my all-time favorite so far. Its very much protesting against the way modern society works. I loved it.
