Yah know, I use to be a christian probably because my mother has been her whole life and it kinda just came to me going to church all the time, it was like Santa I had no doubt in my mind that he existed but now I'm the opposite I'm the guy laughing in the background about my mom's secret santa if yah know what i mean (I'll give a hint: God). It's like looking at a kid that believes in Santa they can't help it they were in a sense, "taught" that Santa existed and it's kinda sad for me to look at when you know one day they're gonna find out the truth. And then...
They won't believe you. You've hammered that Santa existed for so long and it's all they've heard growing up. That it must be a lie! Maybe not as far as a lie but you catch my drift. As a "former" christian I hate to compare the two but God is that Santa as you were a child. But God, god has a much more power. It's simple. The ability to listen, no matter what it is, when it is, or where it is, he has the ability to listen to you. And that in itself is truly a God.
Humans want someone to blame, Gods there.
Humans want someone to care, Gods there.
Humans want acknowledgment for there doings, Gods there.
Damn he pretty much fills any need you.... well...need. That you would never be able to get otherwise. This is something that is impossible to take away from a human being. It's not something that you can just say "God doesnt exist! What are you smoking?"
And everyday I look at a christian, it's just the same way I look at a kid when he believes in santa.
But anyways you probably didn't understand a fucking word I just said. Lol....

I am a christian and I do believe in God. I also believe that there is a "devil". Though I don't believe it is anything remotely anywhere near the game. Therefore that's why I don't see any need for God to show up in the game.
As for my personal beliefs about who and what he is the best word I can use to describe is friend. I know he's there. He looks after me, and makes sure I don't screw up too bad.

Their may be some sort of higher power in my opinion.
But the Bible most likely has NOTHING to do with it.
The bible was likely written in order to mold and form a society that is easily controlled by governments and leaders.
They have accomplished that goal very thoroughly.
Disagree with your interpretation of the bible. Seems too much of a conspiracy.
I think everyone believes in a god. Everyone believes in the entity of creation. How we all interpret that creation is your own preference.
I am neither a Christian nor an Atheist, I am what I call a Dark Templar (lol). I'm just a guy trying to see things as they are. There is no doubt that there is indeed a God, but the real question is wth is that thing?
Here's my understanding of what God is:
God is a part of you
You're the one who created him giving him a form and a shape (may it be with the help of others).
You're the one who feed him, giving him power and control over yourself.
God is an unsentient being, a psychological entity. As much as you can use imagery to give yourself strength and faith, others can however use this against you as well.
For millennia humans have been using Gods to control other humans. As soon as they are born they start injecting God into their brain like a virus. It eats all sentience, destroys whatever personality these persons could have had. They created armies of clones, a bunch of idiots all believing the same things, all dressed up the same way, all seeking the same petty things. There's no more individuality, no more question, no evolution only delusions and false hope.
God has nothing to do with the creation of the Universe, it's only a trick to take your guard down, like when someone let out a huge gasp while you're talking about something you think unimportant.
They're trying to feed you up with nonsense like a man and a woman in a marriage shouldn't have any individuality and should belong to one another. Nonsense like abortion is murder, or you should do and believe everything your parents told you even if they are morons.
The ultimate goal of all Christans is to go to Heaven to build the kingdom of God, a kingdom of utter perfection, a kingdom of nothing...
As for what created the Universe and why is there even a Universe, I think you'll just have to admit that they are things that go beyond your ken.
Imagining an answer as being the truth, doesn't make it true for everyone or everything.
Firstly. How did I contradict myself? I stated that if you wanted proof you couldn't have any, since you can't prove a negative. But since you also can't prove the existence of God, taking the scientific default of skepticism, God can't exist.
You made a statement "god doesn't exist". You begin to explain, there's no proof of his existence, but yet, there's no proof of his nonexistence. Your statement fails. Science is inconclusive to the existence of religion.
Secondly. Atheism for drama queens. Double U Tee Eff...Agnostic and Atheism are totally different...Belief in nothing isn't being a drama queen you r-tard.
No, I said people misinterpret agnostics for atheism or no preference at all. I'm glad you can read properly.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines an "atheist" as "one who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods." An "agnostic" is "one who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
Being an atheist is just a fad, honestly.
Thirdly. Religion isn't irrelavent to his response, since his response was to a religious based question. The point I was making is that, when confronted with bold statements such as I originally made, whose subject matter ties in with religion, people automaticall over-react. And regarding religion, no, people aren't normally willing to discuss prespectives. Do I need to bring up 9/11 or are people still too sensitive about it?
A bit slow I can see. Everyone in this thread is willing to discuss religions. I've never come across someone who wasn't tolerant, or open-minded to other perspectives. You made a stupid bold statement. As with him, I looked at it and thought, wow that was a stupid statement. Then you respond thinking he's getting all hyped up because it's a religious discussion. He's getting hyped up because you posted something stupid. See the difference, one has to do with your lack of brain power, the other would have to do with religion.
Finally. "I think everyone believes in god". Wow, how retarded can you possibly be? I believe in evolution, not some "entity of creation"...
You're denying logic. How did evolution begin? Right, a form of creation? Big bang theory? Is that not an entity of creation? Is that not your own belief system? Who says god is a human that waved a wand. Is it not just an entity of creation? If you believe in existence period, you believe in creation.
