Genre was either turn-based strategy or platformer not sure which.
I know you put not to complain, but your choices don't work too well for first video game. I mean MMO has been invented very recently, I doubt anyone on this site played an MMO first. FPS is too fast paced a game for one so young. Puzzle is probably too complex. I just don't think your choices are very logical. The only ones I think that are going to get votes or at least a fair amount are RPG, RTS and other. So sorry again, but I just had to complain.
Yeah me and my dad used to always play WCA together but in the later levels the Kilrathi ships that could cloak always owned us. We actually tried playing it again recently through a DOS immulator, I don't remember what it was called. The reason I tell you this is because I was SOO much better than my dad at it now that I could shoot down 2 ships and sit there and watch him as he was still shooting his 2 down.

I played Wolfenstein and Doom when I was very young. I played it along with several games. Sonic CD was another game I played and that's fast paced too.
Lol me too. I remember being impressed with my dads Duke Nukem skills. And now I can beat the game no problem.
EDIT: Hate it when people edit and answer my post after I've said something else. Yea, but they weren't your first games. Without getting used to games before, it would probably have been very frustrating.
Which Wing Commander was it that they put those bug enemies in instead of the Kilrathi? That's when my dad stopped playing. I only played armada but I remembr seeing my dad playing against those bug things and just thinking it looked so retarded without the giant cats.
WC2 was a major part of my life too. I went so long before I knew that and D were made by the same people.

Lol it's because I edit so I don't double post and you're posting while I'm editing. I get the feeling I'm gunna see another post by you once I click refresh.

I played Counter-Strike since 9 years old, and I first started games at 7.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
That's still two years difference though. And I thought everyone would have started playing games at like 5. I know I did. I'd gone through like 20 DOS games by age of 6 or 7.
First real game I played was probably Sonic 2, Mario 64, and some other console games I barely got into. Then I got into Diablo. Changed my life forever.
Sonic CD!! Loved it. Never beat it, but then I got SA2B which started a chain reaction. SADX(SA1 on dreamcast), SH, ShTH, SR, STH360. I fear I have put in too many abbreviations that no one will recognize.

That was Wing Commander: Prophecy. Technically the fifth one.
I know there are many others, which is why I put others. Please don't complain about the coices because I am not in power to change them.
*NOTE, Please do not include games like Solitaire, or Pinball.
