the current carnage sits in prison and escpaes whenever writers decide they need a couple comic fillers bettween major events. He does not have his own comic and merely serves the purpose of escaping goin on a rampage and being thrown back in a prison. Usually cost cuts and money saving techniques allow for his breakout ie. they lower the wattage on his eletricity barrier or move him to a more state of the ark holding cell and he breaks free.
carnage has been brought back 2 life and killed numerouse times in what has started to become a marvel comics joke. carnage(the orig) was fought by the avengers spidey and venom and silver surfer and attached itself to silver (being the most powerful being there) silver flew himself into the sun and had been thought of to kill them both. Carnagebarely surviving mad his way back to earth (first planet from the sun with life) and tried to find any host he could encompass to regain str. venom having a genitic bond to carnage knew where he was at. Found him and absorbed/ate him to kill him for good. Untill later Cletus Kassidy found the negative zone version of carnage thus beggining the cylce. Since them carage has attached itself to several diff powerful humans in trying to find the strongest. It was slightly attached to Spidey for a while and hundreds of comics later its dormate state in spideys bloood became active. SPidey ridding the symbiote form him once and for all was left fighting another carnage. Carnage has had a spawn of itself named"toxin" who was killed if i remember right.
carnage seeking a stronger host takes over BEn Reilly, who had recently replaced Peter Parker as Spider-Man. Reilly has little previous experience with symbiotes, and is unprepared for an enemy that is immune to his spider-sense. Together, they become Spider-Carnage, and the symbiote attempts to force him, both mentally and physically, to kill Peter Parker (then powerless), and other innocent people. he escapes with the help of a few others. Carnage being throwin in a lockdown facillity. Tries to escape the RAFT (a space prison ) a sentry onboard flew him outside the earths atomosphere and ripped him apart. So far he has not yet retured nor is it said if spawned any offspring while aboard.
This is where it gets confusing as it above wastnt already lol
Peter Parker sought out a sceintist's (srry forget name)help in treating his wounds, and the doctor ended up with a sample of Spider-Man's genetically altered blood. He used the blood to create a new organism based partly on the Venom project. Using DNA from himself, the Venom project, and Peter, he developed a unique, self-regenerating form of life. This blood-red creature grew from a few inches long to the size of a child very rapidly, and quickly escaped. The creature drained the fluids from several victims, rapidly increasing its mass and strength. Remembering memories from Peter, the Carnage creature went to the Parker residence. It surprised and killed Gwen Stacy. Soon afterwards, it found itself in combat with Peter Parker. Reasoning that the creature was not actually alive (and alarmed at its gradual resemblance to his own father), Peter threw it into a smokestack, where the Carnage creature apparently met its end.
now for one more lol
Recently, someone claiming to beGwen Stacey returned. She retained no memory of her death, only remembering waking up in a hospital room. When a small army of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spider Slayers arrived to take Peter into custody, the new 'Gwen' became agitated and transformed into Carnage, or a creature similar to it. She (or it) then attacked the gathered Spider Slayers. After a prolonged and destructive rampage through the Slayers, the AI on the Slayer drones manage to adapt to Carnage's biological data, and neutralize the creature by changing it back into 'Gwen' with a series of power energy blasts. this 'Gwen' version appeared to have white teeth in a similar manner to Venom rather than Carnage's traditional black, red or yellow fangs. Carnage, referred to as "The Stacy Experiment" by a fleeing scientist, caused enough panic for all of the Spider-Clones to escape.
enough i think i even confused myself. Thats the best i can remember all the carnages ive ever read about
oh wait theirs one more haha
in the game "sega" cosmic Carnage. Evil scientist create a carnage of their own..i forget how but this one is killed off
oh srry elfen to answer ur question. No, no one has actually killeed the orig it was eaten/absorbed by venom and venom pretty much over took the weak/injured carnage at the time and it is thought to lie dormat in his blood
lol i type out a full on report and thats all u give me? maybea couple reasons why spawn is better?
not too much into spawn (though he looks badass haha )
isnt his power non recharable. if i remember right once he used all his power he would be normle. unless somthing changed, and it might have because i dont follow him) wont he eventaully use all his power and be helpless to fight evil?

Don't quote me on this (I read it on Wikipedia yesterday after replying in this thread :D), but Spawn has apparently died and lost his powers a couple of times.
But apparently it all culminated in him becoming God, killing off the previous God and Satan and all their armies, after which he remade the world and then went back to being a "normal" anti-hero. But killing him is almost impossible.

Phrozen is very close. Spawn has died and come back numerous times. God and Satan's war has not been kind to the earth which is ruled by another entity all together. This entity hated the war so much, she gave her power to Spawn who wasn't a fan either in the hopes that he would clean up and protect Earth. These aren't just pansy powers, these are full on god powers thus making Spawn the most bad ass looking, as well as the most powerful comic book character.
You may not have intended it googguy, but knowing all that now makes me not like Spawn all that much anymore.
Too much power in a super hero= lame.
Look at it this way. Superman fights a bunch of pansy people. Spiderman fights people in stupid costums and on occasion something bad ass. Batman fights people that dress like clowns. Spawn has to fight God and Satan. I'm pretty sure that if he didn't have these kinda powers, the comic wouldn't even exist. I'd like to see Batman and Spiderman take on Urizen.
Well, Guts from Berserk is fighting against Gods and Satans and he's just a normal person who's been put into an abnormal situation.
My point stands, abilities and powers are fine and interesting to a point, but too much just ends up lame. Like putting too much frosting on a cake if you will.

if they didnt cancel the series after 25 episodes, 1 short of the end of the season, it would have been better. season two would be great, lots of powerful demons to fight. and more SKull Knight, that guy rocks

I've been reading the manga actually. It kind of makes sense that they ended it where they did. If they do a second season at all they have plenty of material to work with.

Considering that God or Satan could strike down a human with a snap of their finger, that's pretty uneven. Instead of making the hero strong, they gimped the enemies. Thats even lamer.
and Guts, with his Berserker armor (a gift from SKull Knight)

And like I said, too much power is lame. Even if it is the antagonists' powers. Example: snapping fingers to kill someone.
