i voted for 300, Saw it in imax and let me tell u, When you're perphral(sp) vision is filled by nothing but screen with gore wpns and fighting for close to 2 hours i could have had a gun pointed at my head on the way out and not noticed/flinched.
but in this world, man's destiny is controled by some transidental force or entity like the hand of God, at least man know he has no control over his own will.
it is for this reason i wont get to see it until friday, or maybe even the weekend

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I stand alone on LotR I see. This is for one reason.
300: Great movie, fantastic battle-scenes. But I don't remember that much of it.
LotR: While the actual fighting in LotR was more realistic and thus more boring than 300, the sense of doom and urgency that some scenes give is just unbeatable. Rohan lining up just before they clash with Saurons hordes, and the charge down the hill... Amazing.

once again, 300 gets to your inner destruction, it just keeps escalating and escalating. you feel free, wishing you can do that and admiring it. LOTR though as phrozen said, is more of the beauty of it. he also pointed out my favorite clash of the series, when the orcs turn back and see theoden and his cavalry. his speech i love, and when they are riding fast, and the orcs are retreating, and they clash....aww man i got a rod in my pants now. ><.
anyways, yea, its the best clash i think than any of the others, and LOTR was more based on making everything more realistic. it was more artistic, as 300 is a fantasy. thats why they were tied for a while there in my top 1.
I said 300 because of the detail. Blood, gore, limbs being severed. My favourite bits were the side views where the spartans would move at normal pace, then it would go into slow-mo as they spun and severed a leg, and then sped up to normal again as they dodged a few more, then went back to slow mo as they punctured an enemies heart, back to normal running speed, slow mo as they lift an enemy up and over their shields. It was spectacular.
I always thought it funny that 4 or 5 guys would run past this guy who is killing all these people and not do anything to him because he's killing a couple people or something.
I haven't seen 300 yet(shame on me) but I gotta go with LOTR.
Idk, I said LoTR. I think those movies had alot of things put to them. 300 was sweet, but the storyline kinda sucked- and I hated that wolf at the beginning, it was so unrealistic ( of 300 ) the whole movie was filled with anger, and it all kind of went too fast...I imagine there was alot more to it then what there was...
LoTR was amazing, and to put such extremely good books to movies and get just about everything in is great. The armor, the magic, all of LoTR could easily beat everything. Plus LoTR has REAL acting in it...not JUST fight scenes.

Stars aligning fragments of the memories
Parallel truth, awaken in translucence
Sealed by this deadened song
Sinking in toneless comatose
Come and tear my skin, fear what's within
Its massive darkness filling my world
Submerged rage writing unspoken words

Same here. I continuously had the feeling they stole the music from UT2004, though...
Seems a guy Don Davis made the music for the Matrix, while Kevin Riepl made the UT2004 music. That doesn't mean he couldn't have stolen inspiration though... expcept for the fact that the music was made before UT2004 was released

I've yet to see 300, but out of the other choices, I'd say Braveheart. Cause you gotta admit that it all looks pretty realistic. I know a battle scene is best done when it's hard for me to look at cause it's so graphic. But I feel battle scenes are best portrayed when graphic as possible so people have a better understanding of what war is really like.
movie rocked
braveheart came in 2nd for me
