Im not saying xbox hasnt won the battle, but this isnt a console battle its a war. The games that have come out so far are just the tip of the iceberg. Look at the games that where released at the begining of the second gen and compare them to the games that came out at the end. In two years you will look back on these games and scoff. you live in the moment my friend, that can lead to clouded foresight, sure these games seem great now but look to the future. Xboxes are dropping left and right and ps3s are not.
Can you grasp wht im saying? Its not where a console starts that decides its fate its what happens during the course of its life. And if you ask me Sony wouldnt have started this war if it didnt have a major ace up its sleeve.
The fact that the ps2 outsold the ps3 and the 360 last year means that there are more poor gamers than rich in this country it has nothing to do with quality.
1/3 of WoW subcribers is still alot of people, and yea they made mistakes (a lot of mistakes) with SoE.
My basis hating halo 3? its the same damn game they have released 2 times before, and after I finished campaign I switched to TF2 because Ive burned myself out on halo multiplayer over the years as Im sure many others have. I like forge but its not as good as gmod.
but pc still rocks them both if you put aside the cost of upgrading every other year O.o
oh yea, the Wii... how long do you think people will stay interested in hand gestures translalated into crappy graphics? curse the Wii and its softcore appeal

Don't attempt to blaim the economy for the poor sales of the PS3. If that were true then there would be just as little sales of the Xbox 360 since they rival in price. The truth is most of their games are crap. They don't have any titles that are currently bringing in the numbers to compete with the 360, nor will they on a steady basis. Mostly because the programming is crap. I have not met one math nerd that wants to even work with the system because of the headaches that it causes and I work in the industry. I know a few that were very anxious to get a crack at the programming but then wish they never got involved with it.
As far as Halo 3 goes, how can you even claim it's the same crap? The graphics were greatly improved. NPC character involvement, weapons, vehicles, and overall game flow were all brand new and listed by many game reviews as outstanding. As far as your claim of running through the campaign, I am going to call bullshit because anyone would agree that it was a fantastic story line and had some epic game play. I was very skeptical when I saw Halo 3 at E3. It did appear to be packaged as the same ol' stuff. Once it hit the floor, it was fantastic. Great smooth gameplay that had flowing levels and places you in the middle of an epic story.
I think you are attempting to bash the 360 to try and stay true to the PS3, but I assure you, this 2 years you are refurring to, not one game developer at current, really wants to work with the system. It is utter garbage. The numbers speak for themselves.
The other issue Sony has, the unit will not drop much in price because they can't afford to. Their costs to produce this unit is too high and if you want to suggest that it is the economies fault that they do not own a PS3 then this will not change because the unit will always be around the price it is now.

I didnt attemt to explain the ps3s low sales with the economy, I just said that its the reason why the ps2 is still goin strong.
I already told you that the xbox has better games "now" , I argued that in the future that will probably change. Developers have all the time in the world figure out the ps3 complex, im a patient man.
I wasnt bashing halos single player experience(although the storyline isnt that great) but I was bashing multiplayer (aside from forge), CS and TF have a more intuitave teamplay approach, thats why I prefer them. Ive been spartan117 and it was good but its over now and im sick. But if they come out with halo 3 ce for the pc I might change my mind
