The Quest for the Earth Stone I changed the name of the original land the RP is in just because from it was annoying to write it over and over again in the RP (this comes from experience)
As the world of Kurshka was in its golden age and the Kingdom of the Earth was at the height of its potential, a great evil arose to conquer the most sacred and most powerful object in all the mortal realm: the Earth Stone of Kurshka. The blind eye of the Earth had not seen this evil rise to power with only the Council of the Earth Stone, the sworn protector of the powerful object and was deemed "incorruptible". Yet as the evil rose to power, the Council's power was quickly fading and it was only a matter of time before the evil conquered the Stone and it soon was known that a small underground group of "heroes" would bring their power together and hope to stop this evil... before it was too late...
This is the only RP that I've ever been part of that has successfully been archived as a resolved thread, meaning that it was actually finished. Of the eight people who started, NINETEEN people joined in and finished the RP with us that concluded to end in a quite epic resolution. So let's hope that it will be the case this time as well!
The main reasons why this RP is so much fun is because of the freedom the players have in creating the world, characters, and plot around them. The entire world of Kurshka is a blank piece of paper that can be created by the player's themselves and has no limits. The RP itself is SUPPOSED to take place in the time of WarCraft or Diablo, but I had times where we went to an Electric City (yes... that's what it was called...) that was pretty much in the future, when previously we were in fantasy land.
You are free to create any type of character you want, whether it be dwarf, elf, human, demon, angel, demon Mexican biker, etc. Just try to keep the RP cool instead of being "funny".
Stuff That's Usually in this RP (that I left out for now)
One key part I left out of the story is that the group of heroes (us) would have to try to get elemental stones that would unlock the realm of the Earth Stone. The reason I left this out is because I wanted your guys' opinion on this first because I had this RP where we left the elemental stones completely and it worked itself out perfectly (the plot was much cooler as well). So let me know if you guys want this.
Also, the original RP had distinct classes that you can choose from (which were really unique and I would have to dig deep to find out what they were exactly) and I left this out because of the obvious: freedom. I really wish that this time every person feels like they are in charge of the RP and that the story flows and works itself out into a masterpiece
Q: What's the difference of the Earth and Kurshka.
A: The same difference that Narnia and Earth have. Narnia is essentially Earth, but Kurshka is used just to symbolize the difference in our Earth and this RP's Earth.
Q: Will our characters upgrade?
A: Yes. There will be a time where we shall get new items, new powers, and all new sorts of upgrades that will make us look bad ass.
Q: How will the plot work itself out if everyone is in charge?
A: The term "everyone is in charge" is implying that everyone can have equal part in the plot as I do, the RP master. If, however, there is a disagreement between plots (which SELDOM happens, despite what you think), I will make the final decision on where the plot goes.

@Maggy, the RP starts during an underground meeting where we discuss what we have to do. During my history of the RP, we had both one main town where the areas branched off from and we also had an RP where we would go from town to town.
The rules of magic are that you have to stay reasonable to the development of your character. So you can't get "Kill everyone instantly" at level 1. Also, your characters "mana" is determined on what type of character and there isn't a true limit on it, but keep it reasonable.
The time period is usually set in the medieval fantasy period, but during the first RP, we went to a technological futuristic city. All in all, keep it reasonable but the choice is yours.

Actually I do have one major concern. What is your policy on plot stagnation and villain characters? How do you resolve an endless clash between PC and villain, or more importantly someone who steps in, declares themselves the villain character and attacks the non-villain PCs?
Also, should the plot begin to run dry how would you bring things back up to speed?
