I can't help but think that both your opinions on its location is very biased. Jeru likes werewolves, werewolves go well with dark forrests. Zubin lives in a desert, and he wants the tavern surrounded by sand....
@Link - yeah, thats what I was thinking. Taverns are usually next to the town square, like in tristram.
well, they can be a cool dark mysterious tavern in the middle of a wood, but thats a bit far fetched. I mean, what is this, some kind of fantasy game?
Yeh pretty good location and close to main gate, if someone attacks the village fellow warriors from Tavern of Jay can rush to gates without going through the village. We just go through wood and attack from back and surprise them.
THere are a few trees around, not a complete forrest. The forrest is in the north. And yeah, a tavern in a forrest sounds dangerous.
I can get rid of one of those trees or two that are right next to the tavern, if you like?
Also note that in the very far future I plan to put a wall around town. You know, the smart and safe thing to do, especially considering it houses 'the biggest guild in Diablo III'. The Tavern would have to go inside the city wall by that stage, just so you know.
I'm trying to make it like the wilderness in Act I, because, as I said before, it is located somewhere between Khanduras and Ensteig.
seriously, any changes to the map, please tell me now while its still in its early stages! if there's something that is just itching you, and you're trying to let it go, then don't. Tell me right now, and I'll try to fix it. (unless you don't like the entire map or its location, then, too bad lol.)
Edit: lol @ Link. Yeah, the tavern will have to be included within the protection of the town.
I can tell this would be some kind of government-contract-war within the town lol. it already kind of is.
The SICK lounge is in the citadel, I would imagine. If not, there are many various buildings around town that are yet to be named.
Wilderness in Act I is grasslands, right?
Also, if this is a tavern, the towns people would sure like to visit it. Although, I suppose there would be other taverns in town too, its just taht this one is exceptionally cool and generally only gets darker customers lol. right?
Edit: Maybe I could move the tavern in just a little closer?
SICK is a religious guild, and at these times church and state are the same thing. ANd also given the nature of SICK, they are surely one to run a town (and protect it with their citadel and future city walls). But you don't have to actually join it. ITs just the nature of the guild. THey are kind of like the Zakarum.
