First of all I want to thank you guys once again for showing me support and helping me out with finding what I need.
So as some of you may know I've finished my first year at 'Digital Graphics' in Stockholm, Sweden. I still have one year left. Right now I have my summer vacation and I have moved to my hometown over the summer! Now I have much more time to work on this project since I've got no university work to worry about, and I must say I'm starting to have lots of fun with it again. Expect much more over the next few weeks as I delve deeper into the project.
So after weeks of looking for a back-reference of the Demon Hunter, I finally received a fairly high resolution one from this community. I started working on the second 'glove' or 'gauntlet'. It has been the most odd piece to make yet, it is indeed a quite odd glove/gauntlet (but also great!) I will now start working my way down to the stomach area, and then perhaps do the head (?) I still want to hear what you guys would prefer seeing first :). As always I strive to stay as true to the concept as possible. This is how the glove turned out:
All your considerations have been taken into account! Crittercutter, I'm not sure what you mean! Please evaluate.
The website was down for quite a while a few days ago so I could not post this update. I'm sure I was not the only user experiencing this (?). In any case, let's get right down to business and show what I've been doing (there will be another update tomorrow.)
I hope you like what you see, tune in tomorrow guys!
The reason for this is that it is more technically oriented and people from the industry are able to critique my workflows and methods whilst making the model. Critique is never bad, and I welcome it to perfect this model. So follow that if you want as well :).
I'm going to answer the recent posts first, so scroll down if you want to see the latest image (proportion work) on the character. Keep in mind that it is not very presentable content, it was a block-out (as it is called) of the legs. I'm going to start creating the plates and other things that go on these legs tomorrow :D.
dude... why aren't you working for Blizzard right now?
Hi :). I'm actively seeking to get a job/internship over at Blizzard Entertainment. I'm currently a student.
Excellent! You're almost half-way there!
Yup! Only one more half and a bit more to go :)!
I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a bolt there? Looking good.
Hey! I'm quite sure there is nothing in that little orifice. I've been staring at it for quite a while, haha! Thanks!
Same question popped in my head after surfing the official site, and seeing these models..
Top notch job Richwood666, if you don't find a job in 3D modeling in the future, no one can.
Hello! Thank you for your compliments. There are plenty of talented artists out there fighting to get to where I want to go. I just have to do my best and hope that Blizzard appreciates my work enough to give me a chance!
Just a reminder: The following image is not indicative of any final work on the character. Enjoy! Refresh tomorrow!
