Thanks for the nice comments guys. deathMars I made a post on the "Blizzard Fan Art....something" thread saying I can't seem to post to Blizz's site....just gonna copy and paste it here.....:
I'm a bit late noticing this thread but I thought I'd throw this out there:
I've never been able to post anything to Blizz's fanart page. I've tried but it's never worked. And trying to enter contests doesn't work either. The one time I was able to enter I got a response for a service ticket and the nice person told me to send the art to his personal email and he'd enter it for me ( got an honorable mention!). The next time I tried to enter with no luck I emailed 2 different cust service emails and got no response so I missed out.
very very very awesome! how is that iv just now seen this.
she has very generous features btw. nice arse and breasts great overall, i have no idea how you even made it and would be very interested if you could share.

The quality of it is very nice. But it's also very typical in the presentation of the ass. I don't think any warrior would want to fight all day with a thong riding up them.
why would it be hard to wear one? a thong for a girl would be perhaps the easiest thing to move in.

the style is a bit too ass-oriented and scantily clad for my taste (feminist and empathetic for the cold conditions and lack of protection!)
but for what it is, it's beautiful
congrats on your skill and on finishing (maybe?) this piece; it does really show talent at perspective, at color use, at capturing the themes, and at showcasing an ass
edit: ps in future pieces i'd buff up the legs; women have a more powerful lower body compared to upper body. it's our advantage and should be emphasized!
lies what if she moved down to a warm climate and got rid of her heavy clothing to fight? or perhaps she doesnt need heavier clothing as she is immune to the cold like the barb in d2 via that skill (iron skin or something)

Sianoq, you image link is dead, I've checked on several occasions.
blood-doll I agree with you on all accounts, the legs should be bigger. And the only way she'd be wearing that little amount of clothing is if she had a huge fur-lined cloak she took off for the fight. And we see her still warm from the exercise and she hasn't put the warm clothes back on yet. That reminds me, I was gonna show her breath vapor a little...
As for the feminist, women-as-objects subject, it's tricky for an artist that appreciates the human body. Does it objectify women? Yes. Do pictures of half-naked men objectify them? I guess but no one is worried about that because men aren't fighting for equality in our society. So is the problem the images or the situation? I'm not pretending to know..
But how do you not objectify something and still make an impressive image of it? Any image shows a bias, it either shows an object in an attractive or unattractive way. And of course then the viewer adds their own bias and can view the image in different ways. Personally I don't think pictures of women looking hot are bad for women, good for her, use your perceived attractiveness to make men into hormonal idiots. But men are in a position to take advantage of women in lots of ways so the subject gets tricky. I think this image shows a woman you need to respect or you'll regret it.
I get a little twinge of envy when my GF sees a hot guy on TV sure, but I don't look at it as an attack on not-so-hot-me. And I tell her any guy better looking then me is gay. Yes, I'm right at the limit of how attractive a guy an be and still be straight. She's not buying it though....
Lol. Then just mail it to them. Or maybe one of us can give to to Blizz under your name, but it's your call.
You continue to impress me with your art. And I don't understand your last sentence. Do you mean to Blizz or on this site?
Hey deathMars, I'd mail it but they only have one P.O. box for all mail, not likely anyone in the art department would ever see it, I've mailed them things before with no response.
And I do mean if one of you could take the image from here on D Fans.com and submit it to the Blizz fan art page for me. Like I said, it never goes through for me, after about a dozen tries. Just please let me know you have done so so I can edit my posts here and prevent several people from doing it at once.
Thanks for the nice comments guys!!
I'm actually trying to get some sequential pages done to submit to Blizz and hopefully get a job doing a D3 comicbook. I haven't (have NOT) heard that they are doing one, but maybe I can encourage it if they like the art. I'll be posting here 1st as soon as I get some done.
Haha isnt most heavy metal about Barbarians? Manowar, Svartsot, Finntroll, Einherjer. Theres a whole genre of Viking Metal. So in a way, the fact that she looks like a metal album cover is really a sign of awesomeness and being truthful to the nature of barbarians in the Diablo series
That's Power Metal. People these days, with their diminishing knowledge about Metal.
That's one mighty great fan art, Odon. It's really just great, right down to the pixel. I'm not an ass man, so I don't give two shits and a nickle about her butt..overall, that's a 10/10 worthy picture. Keep them coming, man.
Genesis: I'm a freelance artist, I do all kinds of art from low budget movie posters to portraits, to business cards, even some character design occasionally. I also do caricatures and fine art at events, which pays better then you'd believe. I've talked to art directors at blizzard and I'm not so sure I'd want to try to fit into their restrictive studio environment. They seem really specific about what they want in their art, even so much so I'd imagine it hurts them a little. But it's definitely working for them still, their games look awesome.
Num3n: I haven't heard from anyone who tried submitting it for me. Please do if you're willing to try. And yes, I didn't have a signature on the other one--thx!!
Ah like most artists you keep going back to make those ever so minor yet defining changes, I think the color enhancements to her shoulder armor were nice changes. Dude with talent like that you could be another Frank Frezetta or maybe you could become an modernized online version of Stan Lee.
