I see your point. Trying to ''Extract'' Umpa's talent wasn't my intention in the first place either.
True. Sometimes I take things to seriously...
Why? Shouldn't artists be able to live from what they poor their soul into?
Edit: Umpa, It was your first ink drawing? Pretty good.
its not that big of a deal, its the same principle as pencil, they are very similar of course ( im sure you knew that anyway...) but pen is not a smooth graphite, its a liquid, so in that difference lines have to be treated WAY differently, especially with the fine points of a micrpen.
And im still on an amateur level in understanding how to bring out the full potential of ink. As of right now, the stuff I do in ink are pencil images in the form of ink, I'm not good enough yet to consider them in true ink because as I said, I'm not really sure how to use the pen properly...
Actually, funny story about that. I'm sorta known as the guy who wings it. I was pretty good going into IB art as a sophmore, the fresman class is for fundamentals. I pretty much knew most of them already so i was a bit ahead of the curve when it came to drawing. But when it came to other medias like paint( my avatar was my first piece in paint lol) I kinda tried to figure it out as I went.
Anyway, back to the story....So, before I got micropens( pens that have great quality and super fine that are not drip pens) I had to use my teacher's ink drip pens. I had to dip the ink and then apply....Now...I was told to experiment a bunch before I started and ended up dripping the ink....Well, that would be no fun at all now would it! So Im using this drip pen barely missing dripping the entire thing onto the paper a few times, and learning how to use the thing. Some kids and the teacher ask me if i did any experiments and i said no of course.
So what happened? I dripped it on the paper lol. What happened to that drip you ask? It lies buried underneath the strap on the horse in the bottom left corner. The halter on that horse did not exist on the image I used for reference so I made it up.
So ya, to sum it up that whole thing was just a big experiment with ink, and a fun one i might add.

Amazing. But I would just like to point out that you should make it look less like a drawing since not everything is not even.
Can you restate that, i didn't really understand lol.

Haha. What I tried to say was that it still looked too sketchy, as too many parts were too unever and some things didn't align. Did that clear things up?

Specifics would help. I'm not sure that I know exactly what your talking about. I understand what your saying now but examples would help me understand your point of view. Symmetrically everything is to scale. The center of the Mayan calender is in the exact middle with each border to exact specifications. the photo is crooked, that may be what your referring to.
To clarify the big wheel at the top is a symbol from the lost book of Nostradamus, I would point out a bunch of hidden symbols but the picture quality is a bit too undefined.
