No. Though the area that have been used, are always huge areas, of vast numbers of people and buildings. Even the lands of the Barbarians, had some form of civility to them.

Well who is to say what Civility is and isn't? Some would say that Barbarians are not Civil, some would, the way they were portrayed in Diablo shows that it can be done. Why not do it with other cultures that may not seem "Civil" at first glance?
Interesting point you make about asia, but in the second one they didnt just do egypt or just south america and etc. therefore if it was goint to be in asia there would be maybe an act there, but certainly not all the characters would be of based on asian warriors, because for one they would lose some money cuz the game wouldnt have very much variety and two it would throw them off of the classic sorceress and warriors style they've been so successful with
I think the whole Asian theme is nice, because you can't just have parts of the world not there. I would like to see some asian villages that have been run-down by Demons and the like. yeah it would be cool. Maybe even a quest where you must fight an Undead Shogun that controlls massive undead hordes. Just like King Leoric. The quest will be activated by some scared villagers. The quest shall be called "The Shogun from Hell."
I love the idea of some sort of asian-esque act/quests... I was thinking of something exactly like that Crysis Creed.
I also think some of you need to seriously look at some of the other amazing cultures out there. The "I prefer white European Gothic art/architecture over all others" is kind of a weak thing to say.
Kristian91 I have no idea what you're trying to say. Seems to me like you should read the other 203940 posts.
EDIT: I sounded a little harsh on some parts of the post. Think of me saying it with a smile and it sounds better.

They should name the new class "The experminator Chack Noris" to make it more impressive...
Asian looking people are discribed in books written by Richard Knaak about the Diablo series, which Blizzard themselves have said are now lore.

Maybe spoiler, but probably not...
There already is an asian kind of part to Sanctuary
It was mentioned in the Sin War Trilogy breifly. When they went into some random city in Kehjistan (I can never remember the names) they saw people of all different colours that they had never seen before.
It mentions yellow people with slantly eyes from some part of Kehjistan that he had never seen before
Ill try and find the quote (from Scales of the Serpant)

hmm true forgot about that part of the book, i guess the people i can see in the d universe but i still think that the architecture doesn't (might have been described in the book but i don't think so, ppl yes, buildings ?no?)
Don't they? I'm sure people said the same about Arabian Nights/Aladdin looking buildings and Sultans prior to the release of Diablo II, but low and behold what do we find in Diablo II? The Deserts of Aranoch, which is heavily modeled on Eygpt and the Middle East. And I myself didn't think to see an area with Ziggurats in the jungles, much like that of the Maya, Inca or Aztec (which ever one it is, I never can remember)
And there is the fact that Knaak wrote about asian looking people in the Sin War Trilogy, which Blizzard themselves have state is now more factual and to be accepted as lore than events in the actual games.
You have asians in DnD, they aren't wall smashing monks, or anything like any asian character present in any other game, movie, novel, comic, they only things that the DnD asians have in common with well real asians is they look a little the same and speak a little the same, but they are not the sneay hide in the shadows ninja, armor clad samurai, bald wise old shaolin monks.

Act III is South America and/or Central America. The Aztec/Inca/Maya looking Ziggurat next to Ormus is a dead give away.
Not sure why Alkor speaks with a think indian accent though? Where they hell did he come from?

Check out my thread, it has a good deal to do with asian culture. Just search forums for the key word "Samurai" and leave a comment...I think they should make it a new class.
well since the diablo world doesnt exactly coincide with the actual world, i dont think timelines have any place in this argument.
but the new area, xiansai sounds very asian to me. theres a thread about it somewhere and i translated the possible chinese pinying. somethign about immortals and god of fate.

i recall that, and again that is one of the reasons why i dislike the books... imo Diablo should stay European centered since the game so closely follows Judaism, and Christianity... And all i can say for the places chosen is that the crusaders went to Egypt, and the middle east, and the Spanish went to south america. and then act 1 is quite a bit like Europe, and then act 5 is totally fictional and not related to our planet in any way. Act 4 is from the Jewish and Christian religions.
If we were to have an asian land then they would have a totally different religion and probably be close to the necromancer religion of balance... however all that shit was totally made up in the books. and imo the game only is canon, and the books are just cheap knock offs... anyways if they didnt believe in Angels and Demons how on earth would they react when they saw demons and angels... and as far as we know if they are in the bottom right of sanctuary they would have a long ass way to go just to find something they did not believe in and have no proof of. since everything that has happened has been in the areas we visited in d2.
*anyways i wouldnt want Romans or Greeks or Native Americans in this game either...
So - the game must remain in constructions of Dark ages, and knights period.
I could have sworn the Knight’s Templar fought in Jerusalem, And last I ckecked that was in the middle East. And Lut Gohlein looks a lot like the Middle East to me, domed palaces, harems, Sultans. Well Middle East + Egypt. The Tombs i nthe desert are very Egyptian.
Point here is that area is clearly not Medieval Europe. And neither was act 3.
Knaak said there were asian looking people in Sanctuary. What he wrote is actually more canonical that what's in the games. SO if he said there were "asians", then there are "asians".

Do recall an area in Diablo II that had a middle eastern/egyptian feel to it, yet no playable class fitted in anyway shape or form with said area?
No playable class per se, but you notice those merc? Aren't they a type of Dervish, but with pole arm instead of sword?
If I recall, Japan have myth about Oni and Genma, which are demon under a different name. So, what's so farfetch about them fighting Diablo? And remember, this is a fictional take on Asian culture, not real life.
There probably will be an asian city in Diablo 3 because if you look at the World Sanctuary map, near the top right on the diablo 3 website you will see an island with a name that sounds asian.
