Hey everyone. So far, today has been a pretty... interesting... day, huh? Well I have something that might brighten up everyone's days after any false hope and trickery you've endured today. Some ACTUAL news involving Blizz. No, this is not a revelation about Diablo 3, but something much closer to me.
A few weeks ago I applied for a position with Blizzard as an Game Art Design Team Member (essentially, working from home to produce concept art and stuff for their games). I wasn't sure if I was allowed to tell you guys that I had done so, but the reply I finally received says I can. Without further adieu... the message from Blizzard...
Now, I know this is April 1st and all, so I took screenshots of this from my email service as proof. Additionally, I haven't got photoshop (or paintshop pro) installed on this new computer I'm using yet either, so it's not like I just made this in PS. I had to save these screens in paint -- which I find barbaric and annoying.
I suppose that's the advantage of being honest 99% of the time - making an exception for one day a year.
I also don't normally brag, but I think that my prank here was probably more convincing than the majority of pranks pulled by other people / websites (at least those involving Diablo / Blizzard). Even Blizzard's pranks were obvious hoaxes!
That was great Jetrall
I was kind of suspicious at the "work at home" part, don't know if they actually have that, since at least all game masters in WoW for Europe must live in Paris, but other than that I thought it was solid.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I don't like April Fools day very much, because I don't like feeling stupid lol
After reading your post I was really interested in seeing your portfolio, but I guess you don't have one...
You know, I have connections to people that work for blizzard. Yes, I know what you're thinking, but no, they don't have any access to inside information. They are security IT people for WoW (I think its a husband and wife lol, both of them together, but I could be wrong). But yeah, they already said that they aren't 'in the loop'. Sucks. It would have been cool.
