Hey everyone. So far, today has been a pretty... interesting... day, huh? Well I have something that might brighten up everyone's days after any false hope and trickery you've endured today. Some ACTUAL news involving Blizz. No, this is not a revelation about Diablo 3, but something much closer to me.
A few weeks ago I applied for a position with Blizzard as an Game Art Design Team Member (essentially, working from home to produce concept art and stuff for their games). I wasn't sure if I was allowed to tell you guys that I had done so, but the reply I finally received says I can. Without further adieu... the message from Blizzard...
"Dear Mr. Flick-Parker,
On behalf of Blizzard Entertainment, and our parent company Activision Blizzard, we would like to thank you for your interest in working with our organization.
Your resumé and portfolio have been reviewed by Blizzard hiring staff and you have been placed in our 'short list'. This means that you're one of approximately twenty people we are still considering for the position on our Game Art Design team.
In regards to your earlier question, no, there is no non-disclosure agreement to keep you from announcing that you have applied for a position with Blizzard or that you are being highly considered for the job. The only case in which such an N.D.A. would exist would be if you were to be brought on to work on one of our top secret in-development projects. I hope that answers your question.
Blizzard Entertainment would like to thank you once more for your interest and application.
Thank you and good luck,
Karen V.
Blizzard Hiring"
Now, I know this is April 1st and all, so I took screenshots of this from my email service as proof. Additionally, I haven't got photoshop (or paintshop pro) installed on this new computer I'm using yet either, so it's not like I just made this in PS. I had to save these screens in paint -- which I find barbaric and annoying.
Congrats brother. Can't wait to see you among the few and the proud. Unfortunate that we should surrender another hopeful to the very people that torment us. Still proud of you though, awesome.
Well, I'll still be around here. Not like I'm gonna up and quit the site or SICK just because of this. There's nothing preventing me from staying here.
Okay. I figured there would be non-believers. (In case it isn't clear though, this email was sent YESTERDAY by Blizzard, not today, so it's not like they were kidding me or anything).
EDIT: Not to mention how unproffesional that would be.
EDIT 2: If there's some way I can prove it to you...?
Don't buy it all you want, its truth. Jetrall and I have never deceived or misled the other, and we tell each other about stuff before we tell anyone else about it. It will change if indeed he does get the job, but I know that he is not lying about this.
Wow, that's pretty cool o.o If you were hired, would you be working for any specific title team? Or does this Game Art Design team just mean you submit concept art for anything?
Also, if you want I'll do anything you can think of to prove it (except give you the password to my email account. That'd just be stupid). And as for editing the pics, I honestly don't have photoshop or anything installed on this computer, and editing stuff in paint takes too long to be worth it. I can show you my Program Files folder if you want aswell, to show you what I've got so far on here.
I am happy for you - I hope you beat out the other 20 or so "others" and land it!!!!

All I know for now is Concept Art. Whether they assign me to some team or not is up to them, and is not for me to know yet.
But I'm wondering if you would be good enough for concept art. I've never seen any of your work except the stuff you put here, and nothing you put is really concept-art-ish. I wish I could be as sucessful as you someday with graphics.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

He could have done anything to modify it.

Now you just have to murder the competition... I mean, murder them with superior artwork that is
