I was fiddling around in Photoshop and 2 things came to my attention. I want suggestions from experienced users. NOTE: Dark, for www.darkpaths.net, the site me and my cousin are making. (Don't mind the art on the site, my cousin made those).
I take credit for both images, both made from scratch. Thank you in advance for the comments and criticisms.
The above image is Jetrall's. All editing of original image goes to him.
EDIT: I inverted the first image and I like the bluish tint result:
EDIT: I've made a new header because the one on the site is atrocious.
Then I made this one:

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
I like the second one's colours and composition better than the firsts, but it seems a little simple. Based on the look it seems that you're going for, I'd for go a darker, thinner, weavy design instead of the two light lines.
The first image seems simply too bright, and if you were to replace the white swirl with black swirl, it would be a cool image.
I want to be making stuff like this one day, but thats not what I want to do. Cinematic artist is what I want to do, for Blizzard! For now though, I'm working with what I got. Looks really good, good job. Which I had Photoshop so I could do stuff more to this caliber.
Feel free too. Thanks for asking - that shows respect for other artistis (something that often comes in short stock these days).
It's partly to be corteous but you can be sued for stuff like that. Plus I'm 13 so... maybe when I'm older I'll be a meaner person... my brain is still developing and changing at this age.

I actually heavily edited an image from vacation, and the DPM logo is very easy to make. And I listened to your advice about making it "weavy," and so I did it in the first header.
And, you do see a forest right? Because that's what I hate about heavily editing shit. Sometimes you can't actually see what it is.

I'm working on this right now, thanks a lot. I speed through the images, look at the result, and then fix it up. It's a pretty good idea you have.

Btw, really liking that logo. (The DARK one).
That's quite nice. Do you mind if I use it?

To find the truth, you must risk everything.
