I've been told that only clickables and crushables can drop legendarys if you're far away (either in the city or far away on the map). And that at the same distance, you will not be viable for a legendrop from a kill. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
Good to know before the next conduit shrine
Searched the forum and blueposts for any info on this, but couldn't find it.
Thanks in advance
Chests are "world drops" or "global drops", if you want. Everyone will get the loot if they're just in the same game. For example, if you're doing split bounties and running act 4, and a mate opens a resplendent chest in act 1, it will drop loot for you as well. Same with every other gizmo, such as barrels or dead bodies or floor tiles.
Mobs do only drop loot when you're within range. Well, usually; it seems there are some exceptions. For example, if you hit the mob once and return to town, you will still get loot from that mob. Essentially, if the monster at the time of death is aware of you as a player in the game, it will drop loot for you. There are instances where people said they got loot from a mob although they were not in range, but we can only guess why that happened. To make absolutely sure to get loot from monsters killed by Conduit, stay as close to your friends as possible. The loot/XP range used to be about 1.5 screens, with the patch it's supposed to be doubled to ~3 screens.
