There is no proof of that. The Cathedral of Light didn't live on as far as we've seen and it was just as popular.
The Triune during the Sin War was for the most part pretty peaceful when left alone, besides the shady stuff going on behind the scenes.
Everything we've seen of the D3 Triune paints them CLEARLY as bad guys. I guess it could be a group of cultists that know the truth behind the old triune from some manuscripts and ancient texts but it's not the exact same Triune, they possess one another with those Nails of Diablo or whatever. They're very clearly evil.

The old Triune was very clearly evil too, it was just that most of the followers didn't know that. But anyone in the closest circle was fully aware of the dirty work they were doing to pave the way for the Prime Evils.
I agree however that it's probably not the same Triune, i.e. they are likely not worshipping Bala, Dialon and Mefis and all that stuff. But since they carry the same name there has to be some connection, Belial didn't just pick and name and then discover that his bosses had picked the exact same one during the Sin War. Likely they're based on the tales and stories that have lived on from the first Triune.
EDIT: Or maybe they are worshipping the Three but they don't know Belial is pulling the strings? Lord of Lies and all that...
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

From the panel it seems we will only face two of them one of which is Sedeah, the Maiden of Lust. The other one we don't know, but it's going to be one of the remaining seven deadly sins.

I'd doubt that wiki until a source is provided. The datamined portraits aren't separated and named, they come in two big sheets just labeled 2DUIPortraits.tex.0 and 2DUIPortraits_b.tex.0, so I'd take the naming of them with a grain of salt. They look for the most part like good guesses but I wouldn't take them as 100% accurate.
There also seems to be some protraits they didn't give us yet. Like the Gargantuan WD summon isn't on there. We also know from the recent lore panel that Mistress of Pain isn't in the game anymore. It's the Maiden of Lust now.

That's a fail on your part. Google some pic of them, looks nothing like that. And there is only 3 in the concept art, cause they only showed 3 of the 6 (presumably). Some say it's Morlu, the description of them in the wiki:
They are described as tall, armor-clad humanoids, bearing ram skulls as helmets. Though they vaguely resemble humans in appearance, their demonic and undead nature is given away by their eyes which are black pits filled with a reddish glow, emanating hatred.
Other say it's generals/guardians/lesser evils.
This is what I say (my quote from another thread):
My 2cents:
I think in the cinematics panel vid when the blizz guy refer to the "lesser evils" sitting on the thrones, it might not really refer to Andariel, Durial, Belial and Azmodan. It doesn't make sense. Why would Azmodan be in his true form and not Belial? (Belial being the only other lesser evil not killed by the hero). And isn't Belial at that moment in Caldeum with his viper minions and shit?
It only makes sense that that room is Azomdan's (or current ruler of hell - in this case Azmodan) "Throne Room" with his 6 generals (in this case 6 generals, not necessarily representing the 7 deadly sins, cause Azmodan is said to be the embodiment of all 7 sins). OR it could just be 6 guardians who guards the Throne room...(regardless of who's hell's ruler)
In the vid there are 6 generals sitting on their mini thrones, we just see 3 of them (left of big throne), thus only 3 in the concept art pic.
I would have thought it was obvious, but everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that it's pretty strongly implied in the beta that Aidan knocked up Adria. Someone even mentioned it. There's a few whole threads on this topic, and what it means for the cinematic.
Blizz stated specifically that Diablo was in the game as a boss. Diablo is also consistently described as cunning and patient, and Blizz has stated before that we're going to discover in D3 that things have actually gone pretty much the way hell wanted them to the whole time.
I don't think it's a big logical leap that Diablo's essence was preserved through Leah, and (even if you don't buy into Leahblo, as clear as it seems) that she will be instrumental in his return. It has been stated that he "masterminded his exile" to sanctuary in the first place.
Thus, the most logical conclusion from that interaction is that Azmodan is speaking to Diablo inside Leah, who apparently planned this whole gambit, the goal of which is still tough to pin down--aside from the destruction of the high heavens, of course. The black soulstone and the crystal arch and the worldstone all clearly factor in though.
Cain might still be Belial, it's tough to say, but I think it's pretty clear Azmodan is speaking to Diablo.
Edit: As for the actual topic, the 3 lesser dudes are totally just Azmodan's generals/underlings/etc. No one of special significance. Even their design is far less distinct that any other major demon--clearly states that they are minor entities.
I'm confused, is everyone only seeing what is laid out in front of them? Each one of those pillars has a demon on top, not just the three we see in that close up shot. Therefore, there are six other demons in that trailer, not just three. Another hint is the fact that each one of them light up.

It's not only plausible, it happens! In The Sin Wars Inarius appears as a young man with golden hair. The Prophet.

That would be great! Or as part of the end of Act fight With Azmo for act 3!
