When Tyrael comes to let you finish Baal in Diablo II Lord of Destruction in Hell. Where the World Stone is there is some kind of stone, when he goes to it he notices that it has an inscription of saying that the person that carries this is corrupted with demonic traits imbuning the bearer with power beyond imaginable.
And then after that he becomes evil and becomes the 6th act in Diablo III with new monsters and such and of course the 3D
---I have thought of this on my own time and did not copy it from anyone.---\
Anyone can continue the story but it has to start off with this. No offsprings or branches to it.
WHAT IS WITH YOU PEOPLE?! Why is it that everyone things Tyrael is going to be fucking corrupted! I see like 3 new threads posted of these every single day! Where in Diablo lore does it say the archangel Tyrael who fought Evil for eternities is going to be fucking corruptes?!
Oh joy! I've been conspiring, for some time, and with the help of others, to have fun. It's good to finally see the movement gathering momentum!
On the subject of Tyrael turning to some kind of Dark Side (whether enticed by telescopic man-appendages or otherwise), I agree that this well-worn suggestion has had it's day and now has only a negative appeal. Besides, Blizzard have shown much more imagination and originality than to recycle the ideas of others, however interesting they may be.
As a result, such discussions are, I suspect, somewhat redundant; even a great idea would soon be exhausted and, like the Tyrael of so many proposals, corrupted to the point of frustration. However, I shall continue to welcome these ideas with open arms, as each regurgitation represents, for me, another nail in the coffins of such notions, if my faith in Blizzard is not mis-placed
I find it disappointing that more forum space hasn't been dedicated to game design suggestions, rather than to plot-lines. I recall reading some time ago the suggestion that the next installment could be two-sided; that players would be invited to 'choose a side' in something like the Sin Wars (a prequel-style story, but an intriguing one nonetheless), or some kind of sequel idea along similar lines. It'd definitely get a thumbs-up from me, especially if the balance made for cut-and-thrust multi-player action!
Before I sign off, a little reminder; our much-loved game sports the name of our favourite villain, and his absence in any follow-up to D2 would be a travesty worse than a 'Bad Tyrael'. Our love/hate for smacking him and his minions upside their collective heads (or whatever passes for one) is fundamental to the series and must be preserved! I suspect that the lengthy delay in creating the third generation of this in-bred family has caused enough head-scratching at Blizzard to endanger the world's head-louse population, if only because a plausible premise to bring about the (seemingly impossible) resurrection of Mr D is going to be tough to find. I wish Blizzard lots of luck, though I shan't be offering any suggestions on the subject in any internet forum!
OK guys, that's enough wittering on from me. As you were...

I am the God of Hellfire, and I bring you... hang on... that one's been done...
I certainly hope that since the purchase of diablo3.com, blizzard hasn't been coming here for peoples opinions to draw on inspiration for the games plot, mechanics etc.. Or else we are going to have a 2d game that has Tyrael has the final boss (which is entirely absurd(No matter what oversimplified stupid storyline any of you guys think might explain his corruption)), with tentacle phallus's.
wow, i am surprised by this..
seriously holy crap u guys stop thinking the Tyrael is gonna go evil, and i kno yur new but just so u kno this has been a theory that has been rejected EVERYTIME, so plz no more to all those who read this
