Trying to help a friend with D2 on his laptop. The game isn't stretched out properly to fill up the whole screen so it appears more as a square than widescreen. I don't have this problem on my own laptop and widescreen the game looks just fine.
I'm trying to find some sort of option under his video card or display setting to do with aspect scaling ratio but I'm not having much luck finding it. Are any of you familiar with this problem and is there a nice tidy solution to it? He's running windows 7 with some fancy nvidia card, I don't know exactly what it is. If more information is needed about the graphics card though to fix the problem I can get it all.
I've been looking under all the graphics options and display settings I can find. It just says nothing about aspect ratio...
I've been browsing a couple other forums and I guess this is a common problem with nvidia cards with older games. I've got an ATI card though and never have experienced this problem.
Open up the shortcut on your desktop and change the path. You need to find out where the Diablo II.exe file was installed on your computer. Then add -w -nofixaspect. Mine looks like:

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Siaynoq's Playthroughs
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w -nofixaspect
-w makes it window mode
-nofixaspect will allow it to fill the screen
