So, I had an hour to waste before I had to get ready for work and I was trying to figure out what to do. I decided to see how far I could get in Diablo II in exactly one hour. I thought it would be a fun challenge to see how much I could complete in one hour. If anyone else would like to try it please post your completion.
Power Hour
How to play:
Must be a single player game
Take a screenshot at the beginning with the time
Get as far in the game as you can - level, experience, quests completed, and distance
After one hour, take another screen shot with your characters level and quest completion with the time
Share your screenshots as well as some information on your game.
My first run -
Class: Assassin
Skills: Claw Mastery and Burst of Speed
Level: 9
Exp: 51,924
Quests completed: Den of Evil, Sister's Burial Grounds, The Search for Cain, The Forgotten Tower, and Tools of the Trade.
Distance: I just killed BoneAsh in the innercloister.
Comments: This was really fun. I got screwed once when I died in the Black Marsh with only the cold plains waypoint and lost about 3mins running back I also had a tough time balancing distance with exp. I found I could have made it further in the game but would have been to weak to kill anything. Definitely want to try this again to see if I can make it further.
(Sorry the time is 4mins later, decided to show quests as well after starting this thread)

Yeah, I want to try it again with some different classes and see which ones work the best. I chose assassin for the first run purely for her speed burst. But, she was really weak and it was hard to kill uniques.
Alright, just tried it with a druid. It did not go as well as the assassin.
Class: Druid
Skills: 2 werewolf, 1 lycanthropy, 1 oak sage, 1 raven, 3 summon spirit wolf
Level: 8
Exp: 40.757
Quests completed: Den of Evil, Sister's Burial Grounds, The Search for Cain, The Forgotten Tower, and Tools of the Trade.
Distance: Jail level 2
Comments: I decided to go with a druid since they get a lot of useful skills quickly. Oak sage and werewolf definitely helped keep me alive easier. My underground passage was massive and took a lot of time finding my way through there. I also died once and it was a long walk through blackmarsh. I also ran into a lot more uniques this time which took more time to kill. Overall, I just couldn't move as quickly as the assassin. This has really gotten me to play D2 again and I can't wait to try with another character.

I don't know if there is a way to change the folder. Mine just go to my diablo II folder.
I think I am going to try a pally next with smite and thorns. The hard part is choosing a class based only on the first two tiers of skills. So far, I think the Assassin's burst of speed skill makes her the best option.
this game really makes the hour go by fast. The entire time you are playing it is intense. It's a lot of fun.

No, other than just a link to the folder. You will have to copy and paste each picture onto the post to get them to show up here.(I love windows 7 side-by-side windows for this reason)

Power Hour Run
I used a barbarian for this run and named him AxeToBalls. I didn't get very far due to lots of annoying lag and server slowness, and I had a hard time dealing with crowds such as Fallen. Screenshots explain everything. I only got the first three quests and all waypoints up and including Dark Wood.
