1. No longer is rushing for forges a viable way to build wealth.
2. No longer will I be able to pk games full of noobs in hell getting powerleveled since there wont be nearly as many noobs after the first week of ladder.
3. Respeccing in duels is just stupid, since the way it is now all specs have strengths and weaknesses.
4. You thought cookie cutter builds were bad before. Every paladin will level as a hammerdin now, all sins will level as trappers, all necroes as summoners, etc...
5. Worst of all is people are comparing this change to WoW and GW. If you want to play World of Warcraft or Guild Wars nobodies stopping you, go play it. This is(was) Diablo2.
You can literally level a character to 80+ in a few hours of playing if you have some d2 friends that are willing to help, if not, go make a few, its not hard. If you ruin a character due to poor planning, too bad. Thats always been one of the objectives of the game imo, to tweak characters, experiment, and always try to make your next better then your last. Way to ruin this feature of the game and give every noob an easy fix button. Maybe some of the things that make this game unique and popular after such a long time should be left as is and not mainstreamed to be more like WoW or GW.

Accept change, it has to happen. So stop moaning. Honestly your going to cause yourself more grief with all this moaning, how about embracing change for once? Jackass.
Yeah seriously guys, accept change, it has to happen.. and if someone is raping you in the @$$, accept that too, take it like a man and embrace it...

No, change doesnt need to happen. What needs to happen is for whiney noobs to learn how to play such a fantastic game rather then cry how unfair it is to have to remake a character when they're too foolish to plan ahead. We were all noobs once who made piles upon piles of crappy characters. We learned how to play the game, we adjusted, we became better players. Why would I embrace change when it sucks? I haven't heard a single good reason why this change is good other then your too lazy to level a new character, can anyone please explain to me why?
this is test to see if it will work in diablo 3, we have to make it fail
Agreed. I've been a D2 fan since its release, and own 3 copies of the game+expansion. First they slap me in the face by making it so I cant log in more then 1 legit copy of the game from my house at a time, and then they kick me in the nuts with respeccing. If this patch sucks, which its probably going to, I doubt I'll even buy D3 since its obvious the folks at blizzard have sold out to the whiney morons who'd be better served playing first person shooters where they can turn the game on and already have max gear and perfect stats.
I hope this new patch does as little to fix bots, spammers, hacks, and dupes as the previous patch did. At least that way I can ruin the game for all the whiners who cry for game breaking changes like shared stashes and respecs without having to waste time manually ruining it for them.
5. Worst of all is people are comparing this change to WoW and GW. If you want to play World of Warcraft or Guild Wars nobodies stopping you, go play it. This is(was) Diablo2.
You don't dictate what is and what isn't Diablo 2. Get the hell out yourself and go play something else.

Sorry it bothers you so much. When all you do is get ran through the game and get your character to 80, you are not even fucking playing anymore.

It will fail for you and will stop you from playing both game before of the horrible close mindedness you have everywhere and your "hardcore" thinking. You'll just end up not playing either D2 and D3, thats called "your loss", none of the games will fail.
It means you can take skill points out of skills to place them in other skills. So if you made a mistake while spending your skill points, respeccing allows you to fix that. Which is a good thing.
You don't dictate what is and what isn't Diablo 2. Get the hell out yourself and go play something else.
I think what dictates what is and what isn't Diablo 2 is the core foundations of the game that have made it a popular game since its release. Stripping away at these foundations, which respeccing is doing, is making Diablo 2 not Diablo 2. Lets change the name to Wahhhhblo because its far more easier to cry for change to make everything easier then to learn the game.

Actually it will be your loss. Due to your close mindedness in refusing to learn the current system thats been successful since the release of the game, as evident by the diablo series cult following, this game will be ruined. It will also be Blizzard's loss, as if they manage to ruin D2 enough, a lot of long time, hardcore fans will probably be smart enough not to waste the 50 bucks on D3.

Bitch please. Like Blizzard is really going to lose out. You know you'll be wallet in hand drooling at the counter of Best Buy the second D3 comes out.

Maybe we should keep the 2D graphics! I mean, D2 had 2D graphics, and it was successful. I guess that means we should keep the same graphics 'engine' for D3, or else it will be ruined, right? Right?
All I say is, if you don't like Respeccing, then don't use it. It's that damn simple. I just hope the price for Respeccing is so high that only elite gamers can do it. Other than that, stop you're fucking crying you pussies. Nobody wants to hear any of it.
I just want simple stat respeccing so if I screw up the stats, I can fix them, but we can only respec the last 15 stats.

Right? No, I'm sorry, this is a foolish point to try to make. The graphics engine for D3 is completely irrelevant to the fact that respeccing will ruin D2.
All I say is, if you don't like Respeccing, then don't use it. It's that damn simple.
No, its not that simple. I doubt I'll use it because I plan my characters out ahead of time(and its not very hard) but this change will have ripple effects that will impact the game in a lot of ways. For example, currently you can run pub mf chaos games that fill up rather quickly with people that want to tag along for exp, and you get better drops out of it since there is more people in the game. This wont happen when nobody ever needs to level alts becuase they can respec.
It's a good change regardless if you like it or not.
Why? Please explain to me how this change is good.
I love that half the complaints are things like:
Waaaah, I can't PK n00bs anymore
Waaaah, I can't make l00tz rushing pplz to 80 in 15 minutes
Exactly. That's half the point. Now return to the cesspools you scurried out of.
Sorry for enjoying PK'ing, which is part of the game and has been since the begining of it.
Sorry for enjoying "l00tz" for running pub games, something that also has been part of the game since the begining of it.
If you despise these two aspects of the game which have managed to keep it popular over the years, play single player or password bnet games, simple fix, but hey, who am I to complain when crybabies ruin the fun. I guess now I'll just be the crybaby.

... But screw it, might as well hop on board.
The loot thing is a complete contradiction in itself, if you think about it. They complain about not being able to make wealth fast, then go on to complain about how skill respecs will make things go to quickly.

Yeah how can respect kill the game. I mean it's even better, to create new builds maybe change things up a bit. If you beat the game seriously like 90000 times why should u have to go through all the bs again you wanna get a high lvl and have some fun in hell after all.

We'll see how much longer grief-style PK remains part of D2 -- it's already all but announced to be removed altogether in D3 in lieu of a more fleshed-out PvP system, which is what should have been in place in D2 from the beginning.
And yes, you will be the crybaby. Newsflash.
