Hammerdins are amazingly fun, expecially when you have enigma. Teleport on top of enemy, switch to concentration, let the flurry of hammers come forth. I can do that for hours, it's surprisingly enjoyable.

without an enigma you are basically casting hammer and hopeing that the enemy runs into it, which isn't to fun.
Me personally, I find that really fun too. You cast a hammer, run two steps, cast another. It may be repetitive, but it's really fun for me.
But it's precisely that that bothers me. The repetition. Diablo II is repetitious enough. I don't need to make it worse by having a character that specializes in just one spell. I like to mix it up, see.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
My favorite character now is the one the posesses the greatest difficulty to complete the game in -or- battle others. I have beaten the game more times then the number of days I have worked in my life. Finding the most difficult thing/build to master and complete the game is what keeps me hooked. That is probably why I tried to make every single build imaginable.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
I always had a weird obsession with the barbarian, yet i never actually managed to make a barbarian which was good.... maybe that was the reason why i kept re-creating them?
I always had a Blizz sorc MFer, for killing Mephisto... over the gap in durance
My Bone Necro sucked shit, my Elemental druid, Hammerdin and Foher were all reasonably "standard"... Never bothered with Trapsin, never got to fully complete my WWsin... Never made a Summon druid, but made a few Summoners... Never made a Werebear (Might of made one, way way back) but made a Werewolf....
Gotta go with my guy the Druid. He is, in my opinion, the most versatile unit in the game. He can be a spell caster, he can be a melee'er, he can be a summoner (Though not all that many summons...) and, best of all, HE CAN BECOME A WOLF!!! GO WOLFIES!!!!!! o.o Sorry... Got a thing for wolves... *Coughs.*
though the most versatille...he is master of none of those catagories...though i have seen some damn good ele druids...and some damn good summ druids with bear tanks
I haven't seen many werewolfs around, but the other day I seen a werebear. The bear suck but he was very fun to play with because he didn't just play the bear he tried to be the bear. He was so hilarious.
Well, back when I still had all my D2 gear, I played on lowly NonLadder (Nonhacked, thankyou very much!) and had some wolves that would kick ass, and I was a hybrid wolf summoner/Werewolf Druid. Then again I always did try to get the best gear I could.

I'd have to say the barb. He's just so awesome.
Personally, I'd have to go with the Paladin. First character I ever beat Diablo with, and he's still fun at times.
