Rings can't give additions to skills of any kind, only BK and SOJ do that. As for my build, Energy shield would be impractical since I went all extra points into Vitality. Attacks on me while having ES on would drain my mana so goddamn quick and kill me. She can take a couple of hits, and the SOJ was for extra mana. The mana bonus I mostly wanted because Lightning builds are not friendly to mana, and if you want to be fast and powerful you kinda need mana. As long as you can stay out of reach of any enemies, and keep your merc from dying, you're pretty much godly.
Yea. You got a point there. You need mana to cast, I just figured a level 20 warmth and a decent amount of mana would be able to do anything you needed. But, again, you do have a point.

Soj helps keep your mana up. As sorceresses use infinity it means they don't have meditation on them like hammerdins so the need to be able to keep a hold of their mana.

Infinity helps sorceresses fight against things that are immune to their specific element they use by decreasing their resistance by a great deal.
Insight puts meditation on the mercenary and in turn puts it on you. Meditation increases your mana regeneration by a LOT.
Because sorceresses have to use infinity, they don't have the regeneration boost from insight so SOJ is the best to use because it adds to your mana by a lot so you have more mana that you can use so it takes you much longer to run out.
Winston proved that too me many times... Actually, with him it was 10/10, I did almost no damage to him, he killed me in a single blow.
