And apologies if this has already been answered elswhere. But upon finding this site I felt the urge to crack out Diablo 2 lod again and start playing. I downloaded the latest patches ( 1.11 ) and all is working just fine. I imagine by now that all bugs have been taken out of the game and is working smoothly for all gamers.
I am happily playing away and start to remember all the tricks of the trade when I notice that my stash fills up very quickly. And I can remember this being an annoyance way back when I last played it. I had heard rumors that they would expand it even more in future patches but it seems to still be the same size.
I checked the official sites but could not see any information regarding this. Has anyone here heard of any new patches coming out? Patches that possibly expand the amount which we can put in our stashes?
And people seem pretty used to having mules to stash their extra stuff. I actually need to start a mule account myself. I'm having difficulty lately managing my inventory.
Mules are characters people create on Battle.net for the purpose of muling items around. Like for instance, if my stash was totally full, and I had an item I wanted to save for later, I might transfer that item into my mule's inventory. So those characters are quite literally your pack mules.
*sigh*
sorry i went missing. i agree with the increased stash size, maybe have a few tabs like in the quest section but for your inventory? so that way you have a few levels to put stuff in, rather than take up a whole page of your picture.
The only flaw I saw in this system was that unique charms coulndn't be held more than once. If only one unique charm of a type was active, but you were able to still hold more of them, that would be grand.
However, the system works pretty well, the only thing I see changed for D³ is that players will be able to access a shared storage as well.
That's true about the unique charms. Once I was trading two runes plus my lesser Sin torch with a guy who had a great Sin torch plus two runes that I wanted. It wouldn't even let us swap the torches in the trading menu. So we actually had to host a private game where we used the honor system and each dropped our torches on the groud to pick up the others. I was pretty nervous he would just pick his torch back up after already having the runes he wanted from me. But luckily he was an honest guy.
And I understand that Blizz wants to make people choose carefully which items they keep around, but that's kind of a pain in the ass when you're collecting runes and gems for cube recipes and you don't even have the room to stash what you need to make higher runes. It's challenging, yes, but it's still not as fun as Blizzard intended it to be. Nor is it realistic that you simply wouldn't have more space to stash your stuff. And if Cain goes everywhere with you, why the hell can't he hang on to some of your runes or gems?
Well, the thing with runes at least is that they seem like they'd be pretty small. I mean, it's not like all those items as they appear in your inventory are precisely to scale. So as far as realism goes, you should be able to fit way more runes in your stash.
agreed and most of the time ppl carry crap jsut gold it

Torches and Anni's full in your inv! Spellcasters would be brutal then.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Hehe, obviously that would be great. But what he was referring to is that you can't even stock torches or annis even though only one would work. It's like, we all understand we only get one functioning torch and anni at a time, but it would be easier to trade torches if we could hold more in our inventory, even though those extra ones wouldn't work.
maybe they should make a few slots in your character for unique charms so you can 'wear' them, like 6 slots up the side next to your shield or something?
3 for gheeds, 2 for torch , 1 for anni.
but someone probably allready said this idea before
I am on the us west region, Not sure if I'm on any ladder though, I'm still very new to the whole playing online thing and am not sure if I'm a part of a ladder or not . But I did bump into a person from rockampton on the battlenet site ( a well known place in Queensland, my state ) And we had a good time killing baal a few times. He/she showed me how to add people to a kind of friends list but I can't seem to get it to work again. Do you guys know?

haha I was just thinking that maybe blizzard did it intentionally, to make the collection process harder. I had a think about it though and I don't know how everyone else plays but I love to try to collect a complete set of those green text suites and collect rings, gems, charms and runes. But I usually just don't have the room. I might be able to collect 2 maybe even 3 parts of the green text suits and then I would have to get rid of them to make room for something else. It would be nice to just once be able to collect just one of those suites.
So I guess I could carry the charms around but when I need to make money I need to collect magical items to sell back at the villages and that's just not possible if I'm full with charms. Perhaps a gem bag for rings and gems like was mentioned would solve the problem. Would something like that even be possible to put into a patch? I realise a lot of this stuff will hopefully go into d3 but sometimes I like playing the old games and would enjoy seeing them made to perfection
G'day to all

The only thing they seem to release these days is minor bug and balance fixes.

Thanks for the reply . And I am on battle net and will add you Thanks mate.
As you'll see under the News section here, all the patches this year have just been minor things.
And people seem pretty used to having mules to stash their extra stuff. I actually need to start a mule account myself. I'm having difficulty lately managing my inventory.

And I can see on that site that the patches are still being made which is good to see I wasn't sure when 1.11 was made.
