Curious as to your thoughts. Playing a WD atm, and they seem to be the most safe. Thinking about rolling a DH, and curious on yalls opinion -- if its the same as mine, that they are on the other end of the spectrum -- the least "safe" / viable HC character?
the question is what do you mean by least viable. Safest and most effective are different things. However overall i would say WD is least viable since it kills too slowly. Doesn't matter that it can hide behind pets. It's just slow with killing speed and movement for farming. Everyone that plays t1 and above doing rifts in about 15 min know what i am talking about.
I am playing monk with dh friend. And all i can say is that DH is far from least viable. I would actually put it on top of other classes in hands of capable player. And yes we play HC.
they are all actually in a pretty good place right now,it all depends on what you look at in terms if hc viability, if you want a character that can surivive a lot, maybe even a disconnect or lag then every character has something going for them
barb - can get awesome life regen and toughness, also has potential for a thorn build
wizard - can get a lot of toughness and nice reflect with reactive armor tho very light on life regen
monk - good reflect potential with collateral damage retri aura or good life regen potential with gear and mantra of healing
wd - pet build offers nice protection and healing (with leeching dogs and lots of life on hit)
dh - well dh is best played actively but in the event of a lag or dc the only thing dh has are companions, sentries and crazy life regen from brooding
crusader - can get very tanky, especially against blockable stuff, potential for thorn build
so my toughts are, choose one that fits you, that you find fun to play, they all work in a way, and if you seek hc viability in terms of farming speed or offense just look at what works on sc and make it a bit more tanky
