I play in Softcore and I noticed that my Enchantress got me killed few times before I figured out what is going on , so I am here to warn you Hardcore players.
My enchantress has The Ess of Johan Amulet and so do I , when they proc they grab almost everything on screen to one spot , that's good and all and I love the item for that , the side effect is when Ess of Johan on Enchantress combined with Erosion(Makes a pool on the ground that deals damage over 5 seconds to all the enemies standing it) proc Electrified like crazy on Champion packs and when they are all stacked in 1 spot expect something worse than Multishot Lightning Enhanced eltes from D2.
IF you are using Enchantress , pay extra attention to Erosion vs Electrified or you might die before you even know what hit you.
Another thing I've noticed is that those "reflecting" mobs (like Sand Golems, with a Sandstorm skill) will one-shot people using certain projectile-based skills. That's particularly dangerous with the Missile Dampening affix.
I've been one shot a ton of times by both the Keywarden in Act 2 and those golems while playing with an Arcane Orb based Wiz (it also reflects Familiar's projectiles).
That's why I'm not really spending much time with hardcore lately, don't wanna get one shot by stuff I've never seen before. I want to get used to all the small changes before commiting to it.
So, Ematanis. The problem as I understand it, is that the elites with some nasty affixes is all gathered in to one spot? So that if you play a melee class you might get all of them on top of you?
Zero: These Sand Golem's are the ones that pop up from the ground in desolate sands? The Keywarden has been fixed in the latest patch. Maybe I have to take a look with my soft-wiz to see how much damage these guys do.
Any other heads up's would be much appreciated. I would hate to lose any of my heroes to shit like that. But then again, Softcore isn't really working for me anymore.
Yes, they are. But I think any sort of "deflecting" minion can one-shot you with your projectile skills, and there are a lot of them (the golem's skill is just harder to predict).
Another big warning here. Bridge of Korsikk, the Blaze of Glory side-quest, where mobs slowly crawl into the bridge to attack you. The final guy (can't remember his name), the Unique Rare that you fight, throws a fireball at you that will one-shot you quite frequently (I was one shot in T2, despite being able to tank multiple molten explosions and things like that). Watch out for that side-quest too.
I've been playing on Torment 1 and 2 and haven't had any issues with deflecting minions. I thought it only hit for a fraction of the damage you do to them?
