I think they should allow Nephalem Valor Buff to be applied in hardcore mode at all levels as we need to do multiple playthroughts much more often than on normal.
Any objections ?
Seriously though, I don't presume any entitlement just because of playing hardcore mode. I think the special hardcore banner is the perfect amount of "special" for playing Hardcore. Otherwise, the entire mechanic of progression of everything should remain identical except for the part about perma-death, of course.
I disagreed, because that would give hardcore players an blessing over the soft-core peeps. I am myself a hardcore player, and all I need to know is I can't die in hardcore mode. The advantage is the hardcore peeps can and will get better gear faster, and I believe that is not Blizzards' intent. I see Hardcore as being a bonus game feature for me to play. Also, people decide to play hardcore mode are doing so because they want to, not because they are being impetus, and plus hardcore mode in Diablo 3 will have their own special gear that will only drop in hardcore mode and I think that will be sufficient.
It's not that difficulty would really change, just we would have to grind a little less while leveling and we would try to play longer every session and not get tired after 1h play and go sleep cause we are so hardcore and loose nerves fast. I think it would be a fair advantage who can actually advance more every session than others.

This above is not happening. Where did you read about it? We don't get anything but banner of yet as far as I know.
Yeah, nvm about that last sentence. I did not check my fact before I post, woops. I though I heard it somewhere, but I guess I was wrong. None the less, my point stands as it is.

Kinda defeats the purpose of playing hardcore. People playing hardcore typically want the game to be harder and prove that they are able to survive with no deaths. In essence bragging rights. Making hardcore "easier" in any way defeats this purpose. The grind should be just as tedious as normal mode and I'm sure there are lots of hardcore players who would not mind the difficulty being upped for even more bragging rights and a sense of achievement.

You shouldn't be playing hardcore.
Well, I don't But I still spread some ideas. I also think about trying it when D3 comes out at some point.

Great idea, someone should post that on the official board.

I think it should stay as a level 60 only buff. Having the buff from 1-59 makes no sense because you are constantly gaining new skills. Why encourage people not to use their shiny new toys? Hardcore is completely irrelevant as far as i am concerned. Why make the game play differently then in normal mode?
I'm with the majority in this one, wouldn't like that. As people have said, if you had too many differences to hardcore, they become too different and segregate the playerbase. Hardcore is about 1 thing only, not dying - period. It's not about handouts
I wrote earlier in the thread that i was for this being implanted in HC from level 1, i take that back now, the only difference between softcore and hardcore should be the 1 life aspect.
Getting more loot in hardcore kind of goes against the hardcore mentality as well hehe.
