Looking good, looking good! I guess about 1/4 or 1/5 are playing Hardcore then.
That might change if Blizz makes us immortal in the HC arena!?
And some might chose HC insead of SC couse they dont like the RMAH!?
I never played PvP in D2. I rushed players, made runs and died lots and lots of characters with heavy gear.
The biggest loss I ever made was on a Paladin back in 1.08, 1.09 or 1.10 (cant remember).
I manage to get a Shaefers, 120% ed, witch was big for me back then.
And I got my first Arky +2 skill from Mephisto!!!
For the first time, I had a fully equipped character, not missing any items, it was beautiful.
So with my new armor, I joined Cow-lvl.
3 minutes later, I died from Cow-king HELL.
He had those skills where you usually quit the game.
I was planing on playing HC only because thats what i loved from Diablo2. But with the RMAH i will proporbly play SC since i don't want to find some awsome gear, and not beeing able to sell it for real money.
I will probably start out with SC. I might play HC one day though, it is tense and good but i hate the idea of losing your HC character forever =P
I wish there was a middle ground: Mediumcore. You lose one random equipped item when you die..
*Dies* "FUCK! I lost my WindForce.." *Goes to Larzuk and buys a shitty replacement bow*
It would be a good item/gold-sink system ;P
the first character i did in D2 was a barb in hardcore mode because i tought it would only be harder. I learned it the hard way on my first death in hell where there is the bonelord doing iron maiden. I was whirlwinding my way around since i socketed myself back in time with all flawless skull and i had a spear of life/mana stealing and i died pretty quick when i whirlwind into 5 of em.
i was like, wtf , my characters deleted?! WHAT THE HELL!!!!
but yeah ill probably make my first character in softcore and after that ill make one in hardcore, test the game, learn how it plays out, stability etc.
I didn't vote, because sometimes I prefer one, and sometimes I prefer the other. I won't wait until I have complete knowledge of the game to play hardcore though. I'll just jump in when I decide I want to.

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
