I don't agree at all. Any kind of control like that is as blasphemous as it gets. Whats next? You can't reset any character at all? This has already happened with one Capcom game (was it a Resident Evil game?) where you literally have one game per copy of the game, no erase, no starting over.
That is completely different dude, that Resident evil thing was a terrible idea that a lot of people got pissed about and now Capcom is never going to do it again. It literally stopped you from replaying the game, it's really really really easy to replay diablo 3, just make a new character....
And it's more like achievements tied to someone's account on say 360, Playstation network or battle.net. Oh no, you can't reset your achievements, so what? It's not really a big deal nor is it anywhere NEAR the "tinfoil hat" scenario you're trying to make it out to be.
The thing I do not like is the shared artisans.
It's the EXACT same reason they have a shared stash. Like the other poster said, if we didn't have shared artisans you'd just have people make an "Artesian mule" which they'd feed all their materials to and instead of the convenience of being able to access said artesian on all our characters we'd be forced to switch to the artesian mule, craft said item then transfer it back. you know, that same kind of annoying mule character process we had for D2 that everyone hated?
