So I just built a new computer build and previously I was running on an asus gaming laptop that ran it with everything on high no issues.. New build has a AMD FX-6300 6core at 3.5ghz, 8GB Ram, ATI Radeon 270x with 2gb ram, 600watt Corsair PSU, 120gb SSD(d3 and battle.net are on), and a spare 500gb hd, Internet speeds haven't changed, still 75Mbps DL, 20Mbps UL. No clue what the deal is any help would be great. Also this could be a component issue. I have noticed random lock ups with the computer.
do you only have 1 ram stick? If so its usually better to have 2 x 4gb then just 1 x 8gb ram to split the workload. I had this issue the other week. I was checking if my old 8gb ripjaw 1600 ram stick was still working cause i wanted to sell it and i took out the 32gb of ram i had to test it. It worked but playing diablo 3 and streaming i was getting choppiness. Upon further research i found out that have 2 sets of ram is better then just 1.

I have 2 4gb sticks of ram. All drivers were updated on sunday when I was building the computer. As background I work in IT and have for the past 7 years.. Just an odd thing to run into. I'm going to be purchasing a new power supply and let you guys know if that does anything. Also Memtest came back with 10 passes. So no issues there. I was kinda thinking its cause I got 1866mhz ram and maybe I should manual set it down. thanks for the ideas so far.
Did you do a clean install of the operating system and d3 when you built the computer? If your operating system is locking up too I would guess you either have a corrupted install or computer might be having issues reading from the drive (could be the drive or your motherboards sata controller). D3 actually reads from your drives quiet frequently because it doesnt keep things like textures or spell effects in your ram for very long so its constantly accessing your drive which coukd potentially lag you if your drive is malfunctioning. I would try running some drive health tests. I would also say make sure your drives are plugged into a sata port that connects directly to your chipset and make sure you installed your chipset / sata drivers.
well try the usual stuff like disable trilinear in d3prefs, set sound channels to 16 ingame, as for lockups, i used to get quite a lot of those when i switched mobo, cpu and ram last year (fx 4130, asus mobo and a single crucial 4gb stick) its been plagueing me for a few months until i installed amd overdrive and manually loosened ram timings (setting them in bios didnt work), you might want to get in there and just see what's up with them timings, and yeah the memory passess memtest fine on default but still hanged in windows before my 'fix', now im running relatively stable only get blue screens maybe once a month or two
I would not call getting a blue screen once a month or two stable.

Power Supply could be an issue if it is either overworked or is starting to go bad. 600w is about the low end if using premium video cards.
If doing any overclocking than I would disable that and see how it performs.

If overclocking disable that to see if the system is more stable.
You can also try running windows in a clean boot state.
