Every run my inv was 3/4 full with magic items and also on 1 run got 4 Rares not including what leroric dropped.
Statistic anomaly... It's pretty easy to get that MF value and I'm used to 0-1 rares per run, not rushing. But yes. blues drop by dozens.
It will depend on level and randomized affixes. The rarest gear have like 6 affixes. To have MF in one of them will not hurt your chances. I expect those to be the most successful items in auction house (MF and +gold in one of the "affordable affixes -those not occupied by vitality, DES/STR, +crit, +attspd or regen/leech)
I'm pretty sure most people will end up with quite a few different sets of armor for different purposes and builds. We don't get to see a lot of diversity in items at this point in the game, but level 60+ the difference between getting +attack speed gear or +attribute gear will make a big difference considering what your skill build is.
Same thing will go for Magic Find--your MF gear will fit a certain set of skills or a certain area for farming. I would guess that farming Act 4 Hell will require different skills than Act 1 Inferno, so that implies your armor will be different as well. Who knows, though.
I would go MF in early game and find stuff with better stats voor harder parts, like someone said before me, have 2 sets of gear.
Do the easy stuff with MF en hard stuff with stats gear. since all gear can drop from all mobs and other stuff MF will be a good friend
I noticed something cool today, if you click on the details link in the inventory, one of the stats is CC resist. This is brand new to diablo. I wonder if this means we will have CC resist on some items? This could really help in inferno bosses or PvP once it becomes available.
That said, MF will be viable in Inferno. I know it will. Set pieces are supposedly designed for endgame and those will have MF on the set items themselves and in the set bonuses once you get more than one item. I think the best gear will be DPS heavy but be balanced out with MF and Defense like the crowd control resist.
And lets be honest, its gonna be a long time before anyone gets exactly the gear they want without at least one or 2 throwaway stats on each of their items. I define throwaway stat as something of little or no value. IE experience modifiers once you are already level capped. Its hard enough at level 13 not to have a few stat affixes your rather replace with something else, image a level 60 item.
Or just create a character solely for MF. Whichever of the five suits you best. Get help if you encounter a particular hard spot but make sure they have about as high MF as you (unless you don't mind) since it's shared.
