Have you noticed that a whole bunch of unique items dissapeared after yesterday's website maintenance?
For example, I checked earlier this week, and there still was a lot of unique "mighty weapons" without a specific model or icon (you know, items with the same icon that their non-unique counterparts), and now they're all gone!
I doubt that Ledgendaries (Uniques) are gone. They only recently said that the ones available on the official website are but a fraction of what is to be available at release. It's probably just inner website workings. They are probably planning to start uploading some stats in the near future in the same way they have started to slowly upload skill videos.
Well I just checked, and it looks like the ones that were gone (although I didn't notice any gone) have been replaced with actual artwork instead of the placeholders?
EDIT: Sorry, false, only a couple of the placeholders (ones that I could notice were a couple of the weapon ones, Heart of Iron chest armour and Goldskin, Thing of the Deep mojo, some of the amulets and rings (which I think they might have close to the full list of), Dead Man's Legacy quiver (??) and that's all so far) have been updated. A lot of the others have indeed been taken out but I think they're replacing the placeholder images with permanent ones. The other thing is that all the Captain Crimson and Demonskin armour's been taken out. I hope they don't rework those too much, probably the couple of pieces I was most looking forward to.
I believe almost all the items they removed are ones that were listed as "still being under development" as far as the stats and mods they'd have on them? Not sure, but that might be simply because they are going to be replacing them with actual item information later, or perhaps they've redone something to the point where they are making new assets for the tooltip on the site.
I hope they were not taken out of the game because they couldn't balance them (and just wanna wrap things up), and hopefully we'll get some new icons/art to drool over in the next couple days/weeks.
^Well we all knew that smarty, the point was that something actually changed after who knows how long. Which is a good thing and worth discussing.
Is it, really? There's going to be hundreds of things like this happening over the next month or two. It can't be a surprise to anyone that the website database was going to change before release, and we already know a release date is coming soon, which means release is coming in the next 1-2 months. As said, none of that data even means anything right now since none of that is in the beta, so it getting removed is hardly noteworthy and I don't think we need a new thread every time some items come off (which will happen a lot more Soon™).
Ok Keiser, you're totally right.
Let's shut down the forums so people won't talk about the skill system, or runes system, or artisans, or followers, or any other thing about the game until it's realeased. For it wil be totally moronic to discuss any of that stuff before release, right?
Yeah, I was browsing through the item lists after I saw this post and noticed a couple of the items were tweaked a bit, even if they do not have stats. Now I understand that they are a work in progress and whatnot, but it looks like damage numbers are being assessed, as I'm certain these numbers are different than before.
For example, compare the current Grandfather to Messerschmidt's Reaver. I'm certain the Reaver used to have higher DPS than Grandfather, but the Two-Handed Swords appear to be tweaked now. I mean look at Warmonger, up to 1385.7 DPS.
On the italian official forum Xarishflar stated some day ago that items were going to be reworked and that final version of them would be posted "when the game is released"
I think this is part of that process.

So, ok, that's it.
Have a nice day
I still see legendaries there?

This.
Looking forward to it.
Nice find, by the way

Something is definitely afoot.
