I have almost everything but stopped playind D3. Althoug I like the game, I am also very competitive.
Problem is, I don't have enough friends who would be as active as I am for grinding paragon and pushing leaderboards. I almost exclusively only play with my friends and not random players, and usually don't play much "meta" builds, but what is most fun for me.
Due to this, I miss on one aspect of the game which is pushing leaderboards. Can't keep up with the top since I don't grind 24/7 in 4 man groups. Would love to have the addition for a seasonal solo self found leaderboard, where you can't group up with other players.
This would give us mostly solo players an opportunity to enjoy the grind as well as competitive part of the game. This leaderboard could be implemented as its own bracket, like softcore and hardcore.
not so much. I'm regularly ranking within the top50 solo leaderboards of a season.
Top10-20 early season.
I mainly play solo, sometimes with a few friends (lacking lots of paragon thats why I always fall off the ranking later in a season)
I always try to improve the meta builds (which to be quite honest is possible) and play it the way I like. However this is not to be mistaken with playing for fun everything that comes to your mind obviously. You have to stick to OP items. sets and skills.
So I don't see the problem of the question.
There is already a community made up solo self found leaderboard as far as I remember. I didnt bother with that since you need to take screenshots of your achievements and GR pushs and such for them to be valid. I'm just lazy I guess...
The founder of this SSF leaderboard I think was Leviathan. He has some youtube videos about it and is one of the "Westmarch Workshop" guys. Correct me if I'm wrong, not 100% certain xD
Please everyone watch their language and behave properly - if this thread doesn't get back on track I'm gonna have to delete some of the borderline comments (already did with one; please whatever you post and whatever opinion you have, bring it up constructively and in a civilized manner). Thanks!

Imho trading is so limited in D3 that it doesn't really have much of an impact; and I think for a solo play only mode the botting is way too rampant, so I think cracking down on that issue would be way more powerful (like some sort of fatigue mechanic that makes you weaker if you play for too many hours over the past 7 days or whatever). SSF works in PoE but that's an entirely entirely different game.
I think SSF would be a great idea for D3, especially if it were implemented the way POE did where in you can transfer to the non-SSF league at any time without losing items/progress. You cannot go the other way (naturally) but at least you have an option to change your mind and play with friends in the event you find SSF not to your liking.
A D3 player and YouTuber named Leviathan (Leviathan D3 is his YouTube name) organized a couple of seasons of "scouts honor" style SSF (Seasons 13 and 14 for sure) which I think several people participated in and enjoyed but I didn't see one done for 15. It's a great option for those folks, like you said, who tend to play the game solo and not in 4 man farm groups.
I for one would play an SSF mode for sure. For those who don't like the idea, it's fine...don't play it. =)
"I want a Solo Self-Found leaderboard because I almost exclusively play with my friends"

My head hurts....can't play with friends if you want to be eligible for SSF can you?
"I am very competitive"
"I don't play "meta" builds but what is most fun for me"

"I like to say I'm competitive but am unwilling to do what it takes to win"

I think the main argument for SSF in D3 can be made about endless paragon grind and disadvantages of ppl who are running solo or running with ppl with no intention to run mindless speed runs without the classes they don't wanna play. SSF would also make the detection of bot users easier.
I would play diablo as my main game if there was a SSF part of the game, both seasons and non-seasons. as you your SSF season characters would transfer into SSF non-season

Well, Path of Exile has SSF mode, why not D3?
devs cant implement this concept because it doesnt involve a number
is there a self-found number that they can double?
2 posts to whine about a game that you obviously hate
isn't there a better way for you to waste your keyboard clicks?
quote of deleted user , can be deleted
