At this point, the easiest solo class (imo) would be the Demon Hunter, fast an does lots of damage.
Another one would be the Crusader, with a good end game, but slow to farm with.
My personal favorite is the barbarian; With a lot of diverse sets, from jumping to spinning if you like to switch up your style and still be a DPS machine a barb is great! though, leveling is a bit of a pain with him though as he isn't very powerful to start with.
If you like a huge army, a witch doctor would be great, as you can have tones of minions follow and attack, if that's your thing.
The Necro is just bad, don't play him/her.
And the wizard, is a glass cannon, dies very quickly but can teleport an does insane dps, solo and grouped.
So, it's up to you! all classes can be viable and fun, it just is preference and (as you can see) I like barb so It's slightly biased and, I hate necro (bc it's just a wizard with like skeletons.) But If you use the necro the inarious set is quite tanky.
Akkhans is not only capable of the highest GR clears right now (pre-buffs) but with a few minor gear swaps its one of the fastest farmers in-game, not only is it able to keep up with the other speed sets, it can do so using Sages too, increasing Deaths Breaths in normal rifts.
If youre starting with a new account Medline, Id honestly suggest you start with a condemn crusader, its got plenty of toughness while solo in GRs and in normals the increased amount of DBs will enable you to gear the other classes faster because with the incoming buffs youll be able to play any set without feeling too far off the pace.
Totally agree. In addition, the condemn crusader can be one of the most comfortable builds to play with a controller.
but essentially not all classes and builds are equal in terms of their effectiveness.
lots of classes except necro got buffs for season 16.
as consequence, a lancer pestilence necro which was "S" class last season is now considered a "A" class in Season 16.
in the previous seasons, the rat runs strategy involved inclusion of specific necro builds. this was a OP method for some cheesing clearance, and quite popular. whether this can carry on in Season 16, i'm unsure.
so yes, i am sure in s16 there is going to be best class+builds for all sorts of activities (group grifts, solo grifts, speed rifts) etc..
that said, i'm still going with a necromancer lancer build despite it being rated a "a" class now. it is likely it is still playable if not exactly the best for this season, and it's simply just a class i enjoy to play.
up to each player what it is they want to achieve and pick class/build accordingly.
