I was planning on what to play with next season and really want to play DH. I thought about playing as a DH shadow set for solo and group play, but am unsure of the results I would get. I know it would be good for the elite/champion/guardian fights, but would it be useful overall...
How do you guys think a Shadow DH would do for group play?
I did see a Shadow DH this last season on a 4 man top 4 on console. Usually it's ZDPS Barb, ZDPS Monk, DMO Wiz and Pest Necro. The DH looked to replace the Necro for single Target. It really got my hopes up.
demon unter is pretty strong at single targets. If you get a boss with ads, its almost "usless". ALso the feature from the Necro with the double stack of boneringer and stricken is much more powerful. If you want to play Demonhunter, its prettyviable until 115 i would guess. Aterwards the necro is showing his true strength.
Not exactly a meta player here, but the DH's Shadow set is loads of fun to play. The build is among one of the easiest to play relying mostly on using 2 consistently used skills;1 for damage, the other for vault. Then just the usual when facing tough elites/rift guardians or keeping up Vengeance 100%.
It does great work in solo pushing from my experience, up to 110-115ish grifts. Another great thing about this build that with the new season, it's incredibly easy to gear for. Being easy to gear for also help with building up items for other DH builds.
All in all fun and worthy of a try, but when it comes to 4-player meta, the other posters have a better understanding/idea.
