I can't find the exact post but I remember seeing a blue post in the US forums that said something in the lines of 'all games sold will be the same worldwide' and how gaming region will be selectable as realms like Diablo 2.
What I have a hard time understanding is that I know for a fact that there is a working Korean-translated version and I don't really see it being used anywhere besides Korea. And I don't expect the game in different languages to be called the 'same'. So I wanted to ask if this means that language options will be available in-game but I couldn't since I don't have any way to post in the US forums
And what I'd like to ask is if there is anyone who has more info on this subject [same game being released worldwide]
The reason this is important for me is because after playing WoW in the Korean version, I want to play the original english version for Diablo3. Don't get me wrong, Blizzard did a good job with the translation, but there's a limit to how much humor, culture or basically the original 'feeling' of the game that can be translated.
I'm sure there would be language files that you can download, or you can even just download the English digital version of the game.
By the way, good on you for looking for the original (and most usually, the best) language version even though it's your second language
The computer that the player is using handles the languages, so I could be playing with my Korean friend and he would see and hear all of the dialog in Korean because of the settings on HIS computer, the game is not "in" Korean, and how it works is you can have 1 character per a region, so I make a monk for the US and I can only use that monk in the us servers, ect.
-[at least in my view]different language=/=same game
-game with selectable language options=same game
-so does that mean there will be a language select option or is there anything else I should be aware of?
I expect them to put in language options, but I can understand if they don't because the language files could be quite big and that would just mean everyone has to download more.

exactly, which is why we return to the original question of what exactly does the game being the 'same' for all region mean
and I honestly hope they weren't referring to the obvious like the gameplay/mechanics being the same
btw, I would have no problem with having to download files for the english version. playing a few hours late won't kill me... I think
I'm pretty sure that there will be an in game language option if it's not region locked, is that the answer to your question?
Why would region locking not allow users to choose other languages? If someone lives in Korea, does that mean they're not allowed to play the Korean version? If you live in the US, you must play the English version?
That sounds ridiculous...

That would be cool too. But the reason I'm not too optimistic is that there was no [official] option to play the english version in Korea.
I am aware of how the realm system works so let me present my OP in a different fashion
-Blue says same game for all region
-[at least in my view]different language=/=same game

but thanks anyway
