I've been hyped since someone theorized of Druid & Amazon hybrid being the next class somewhere in 2015. As both classes have been torn apart by current Diablo 3 classes, it feels almost too suitable to unite these two iconic classes into one awesome Shape Shifter / Javelin & Bow warrior that has a close relationship with nature.
I gathered some graphics together and throw couple of ideas in the mix hoping that either Druid or Amazon or some kind of hybrid class is coming 2018. Instead of being pure suggestion topic, I'd like to hear how you feel what the next class DLC should be about? My ideas might not be good and we don't know what are they planning so it's important that opinions are expressed before they move on from Necromancer.
well I can say this. if they do it im 100% positive us diablo3 players will buy it. I know I will 4 sure. and please oh please can we get daily's in diablo3? great post man
I feel what is missing so far is some Spear or throwing spear weapons (not the barbarian skill) or some more ranged melee weapon that is based on its size and of course shape-shifter with animal forms. So this would be indeed an interesting class. Regarding the bows, I don`t know if the demonhunter doesn`t already fill this role completely but i also feel there could be some additional nice bow skills that do not feel as "machinegunt-like" ;D.
And to agree with OP the idea of a hybrid seems very nice.
(I am fully aware that it is very unlickely to expect one more class but speculating is still fun ;D).
It would be great to rip all the small mobs as a werewolf and when it's time to strike down a boss, I would rapidly change back to human form and finish the monster with couple lethal arrows shot from a heavy bow.
I can't find the source anymore but I remember them saying that if necro does well, they are considering other classes as well. However, I found this from Blizzcon:
"Q: What other character were you thinking about putting back into the game other than the Necro?
A: We had an idea for new classes. Druids were popular in the office, Amazon etc. I think we feel nostalgic for the Necromancer and seemed like the right guy for this year."
What makes the Necro DLC interesting is that in 2016, there was mostly Druid inquiries in the forums, followed by Amazon inquiries. The Necro was asked after the D3 release but before the necro leak, the druid was more popular topic.
At least that's what I recall. It makes me wonder they choosed necro expecting to do druid later. Just my two cents.
Idk about Druid/amazon hybrid but I would love to c a Druid class. Ww druid was one of my favorite builds from d2 and would like to c it with some qol changes like unlimited ww form or at least a visible timer on its duration. Nothing was more frustrating to drop out of ww form in the middle of a fight.
It's easy to see there's plenty of possibilities for Druid skills but it's harder to think that what kind of skills they would give Amazon if she was made as a single class. Javelin and some Bow skills but other than that, a lot have been covered by current classes?

I agree that spears are the weapon which is boned in this game. An Amazon would be great. I never played the Druid so I don't care about it that much.

they have not decided yet what to do with the future of d3.
