i was watching once again the first diablo 3 gameplay and comparing with what i saw till now on F&F Beta i think it had a better concept
for instance the dialogue video with the barb and decard cain or the animation of the first mini-boss ( first the animated bones then the flesh etc etc ) it was off the hook
is there a specific reason that they changed all that or ??
i just wanted to know
cheers

I can see what you see not. Vision milky, then eyes rot. When you turn they will be gone, Whispering their hidden song. Then you see what cannot be,Shadows move where light should be. Out of darkness, out of mind,Cast down into the Halls of the Blind.
I think in the case of the animated dialogue sequences that Blizzard probably felt it pulled you out of the action for too long. So they seem to have switched to "dialogue on the go" that moves the story along, but still allows you to move and kill. Same issue with longer "canned" animations...it just makes the flow of the action drop off for too long.
A lot of their design decisions for this game lean towards keeping the action steady and the downtime minimal.
i hope so Ardikus cause it was a hell of animation and it would be a major waste if they discard it
as for the decard cain video i think they changed it cause it mensions leah ..
i hope i am wrong thou

In terms of dialogue for the game, they specifically said at BC 2010 that the idea was to have the character to be involved in the story as much as possible and for it not to get in the way of the gameplay as much as possible. As a result, the dialogue is supposed to be in a "passing" manner so that those who don't care anything about the story can ignore it they want to, and also so that you feel more a part of it if you do want to listen to it.
This isn't entirely the case for the beta so far - there are still some parts where you can listen to the conversations in town and enjoy the story that way.
Yea hate to say it but I'm all but certain they pulled that mini cut scene idea, as other people have stated to 'keep the action flowing' I'll admit it was pretty badass, but hey we still get the lore so at least the story is intact.
I do like watching that vid from time to time, see him open up his character screen or switch skills lol.
As far as the gore, for all the actual released footage I'm sure they toned it down, but watching some beta, it's back to normal lol, I mean I'm watching shit EXPLODE with blood. It'l be nice n bloody don't worry =D
