I can't remember if this is old news or not, but newsy-ness is not why I'm posting it, or I'd have just put in on the front page. I just can't express how annoying it was in Diablo II. The Maggot Lair (like the user posted in the source), the Arcane Sanctuary, pretty much anywhere with narrow confines--I wanted to slit my wrists more often than not. Lagged players, AFK players, you name it.
It was mentioned in the old forums when the topic of Griefing came up. He said there's no player collision and summons and skills can't make you get "stuck" anywhere.
Oh god you're right.. you didnt want to be on the front lines in those narrow maggot lair tunnels. I guess in that respect it's a good thing if they plan on including very narrow areas in d3. I dunno though, it's not nearly as realistic or traditional with non collision.. I dont really like it :\
I just remember my annoyance at forgetting to put a point into teleport after I got stuck in the front of a bunch of players. They'd be like, let us in front, and I'd be like, I would if you idiots would move. And then I'd die and they'd take my gold without a second thought
I did not find it that bad. It was only real bad when a Necro was playing with a lot of summons. But that was changed during one of the patches to remove the collision.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
....yes.. thats good to hear...
...but what is not stand so good is the destructible environment collision....
..if i saw right, i think that even if a whole wall of rocks fall down and slams down all the monsters in the area, the player, just stand there or pass through unaffected... it's not so realistic this way...
...since u want to use the environment for your advantage u should get at least some damage if u happen to be in the way...its more realistic and better for to plan more strategically your attacks...
...its not big deal, but adds a little realism if they make it this way...
I agree. So far in the beta, players don't receive any damage when a wall, or chandelier falls on them. That's baloney.
I like that there is no player collision with other players, and that there is still player collision with monsters.

From what I've read this was originally in the game but they removed it because people you're grouped up with would purposely try to kill their teammates.
I am all for no collisions but I have a small gripe with the zombie dogs. I have seen the Witch doctor literally riding on the back of one.(collision of course) Maybe they could make the dogs pass round him instead of through him. But if it means delaying the game, I don´t give a damn.

Anyone else happy about this?
but yes, very nice, no more cramped corridors.
