1. Is there a list anywhere of all the known recipes that the Blacksmith can currently make and
2. Has anyone done enough experiments to determine what the "random" stat can be and if there are any factors that seem to effect that, such as character level, etc?
OK. Here are some basic things I have now learned about crafting. All apprentice level items have one set tier one stat and one random tier one stat. The datamined stuff can show you what a tier one stat is I suspect if you want a full list. I can confirm that all the datamined stuff I have seen is backed up by all the beta information I have found.
The armor and damage dealt by an item are somewhat random as well and you can get higher than listed on the item by a small amount. It appears to be somewhat random, but it's hard to tell the range due to the sample size.
I'm not sure exactly what items that increase "base experience gained by X" are all about, but they seem fairly common in the Beta. I assume that up to level 60 that could be useful, after that point there's absolutely no reason to have those items.
I am working on all the items available but here are the first six that are available at the Blacksmith:
Apprentice Leather Cuffs 5-7% better chance of magic items +1 random prefix 10 armor
Apprentice Leather Gloves 2-3% increased casting speed +1 random 9 armor
Apprentice Oak Wand 4-5% increased casting speed +1 random 6-8 damage 1.2aps 8.4dps
Apprentice Two-Handed Club 26-30% increased critical damage +1 random 20-21 damage .90aps 18.4dps
Apprentice Sabre +9-17 attack rating +1 random 4-7 damage 1.4aps 7.7dps
Apprentice Warden Bow 4-5% increased attack speed +1 random 3-13 damage 1.4aps 11.2dps
For most classes I figure faster attack speed is better. I will update this when I have some additional time.
Does anyone think it's worth me putting a little time into answering my own question? Or does no one else care? If the community would like a writeup on this, I volunteer, if your response is "screw it, who gives a crap" I won't waste my time.

If/when you make list could you maybe post it here or msg me via pm or email jjordanpope@gmail.com I would really like to know this also
..i think these are difficult questions... and dont worth the time to research... it will be too much waste of time... for something which doesnt really matter, or make any difference... i dont know.. this is just my point of view anyway...
...i guess im just the type who isn't really interested in how many brands of beer there are in the world... or how many types of blue-jean trousers exist...
...but if anybody likes to research, to find out... he's welcome... more information is always better than less...
I would be interested to know these things. The craftable items look like a solid way to keep yourself geared while leveling, and i'd like to see what the high-end of the stuff is too.
I believe that this information should end up having a home on the Wiki. I don't believe a Items section has been started yet for Diablo 3 on the wiki, but a page dedicated to crafting recipes would have a home there, just like they have for Diablo 2.
If anyone has links to a youtube video or whatever that has someone with high level crafting just putzing around with it that I can freeze-frame more info out of, please post it or send me a PM. Thanks!

... o rly ... ?
http://it.twitch.tv/diablounderground/b/294659392 you can see it at the 52minute mark.
He said he was going to demonstrate crafting when he gets enough pages to level up. Should be pretty close.
