alternatively they already stated the item was an experimental idea and would like to make more like it. individual exceptions to cube powers can't and shouldn'd exist or people would be able to cube hf's.

So, it would only be usable in the cube if you were using a sword, and that's another hurdle they didn't want to jump I'm guessing.

We only have ashbringer and Kanai's cube in current D3.
And maybe ashbringer's mediocre power will be extractable at some point, who knows.
