No, this game is not about redoing the same area all the time, it's about moving forward.
Silly reset buttons like in WoW are not needed.
If anything we should return to the way it was in D1, everything stayed dead. It gave you a feeling of progressing.
Once you were done you could start a new game with the same char. It would be as if an experienced hero came to the rescue. The difficulties somewhat make up for this, however you should be able to replay Hell as many times as you want.
I'd love this as an option but not forced down my throat. It depends on how I want to play the game but sometimes, I definitively would love there to be no respawning whatsoever.
At the same time your suggestion is encouraging farming for xp and items. People that want to do that can close Diablo 3 and play WoW for their grinding needs.
Seriously, how most people seem to play D2 these days is essentially eternal grinding. I don't play that way, but WoW felt less like grinding than D2 can if you just run the same things over and over.
SFJake, D3 is not D2. Bashiok himself said that they wanted to reduce farming as much as possible. For example they want to make it take a long time to reach an endboss so you can't just farm him all the time.
This makes me believe that Blizzard has no intention to allow people to reset dungeons just so they can farm.
I know, I was just saying that because you compared it to WoW, and I saying D2 is arguably as grind heavy as WoW, which was your comparison.
This wasn't an argument about how grinding in D3 is or should be.
I call BS on respawning, why tf would you want that?
at most maybe have roaming mobs instead of just having monsters sit there waiting for you, is that really all these forces of evil do? sit around waiting? they should be running around, reaping terror on anyone they find.
