My girl friend loves this game BUT she sucks (god bless her). She likes the Wizard but she can't not for some reason grasp the concept of chaining skills or how any of the mechanics work in this game. I can put a build together for her but it seems the problem is too many buttons to push and she gets confused. For instance the FLASH FIRE WIZARD BUILD (her current build) I can run that thing threw T10 rift and clear it in 4 to 6 minutes. But she can't even clear a T4 with it in 15 minutes. I have tried multiple builds with no success. Anyway. I tell you that to ask you guys this.
Is there ANY build for a wiz that can do T10 with MINIMAL button use. Like just left and right click, lol.
I don't know of there is a simple wiz build. But I play this Season a witch doctor for the first time. Really simple mechanic, most of the damage is from your pets with a helltooth build.
Ya. I'm runnen a WD this season too. But she don't like WD. It's like arguing with a kid trying to tell her it is very easy to run. SO she won't.
If so, I recommend sending her solo or creating a new character and leveling it in story mode at least a few play throughs starting on Normal. You can't really expect her to grasp advanced mechanics if she's never really played prior.
Tal6/FB4 bonuses w/ Blur, Unity, Halo / APD, Esoteric for some added defense.
Keep FN:Mists on autocast and Use the ranslor's pull to help proc apds better. Most of the rift will just be using Teleport and channeling AT:SD. Just make sure to manually recast the Fire Twister if your stacks drop.
You can also swap out Ranslors for Mantle of Channeling or Goldwrap. Goldwrap would probably be better swap now that I think on it, since you'd be able to tank moltens in TX.
Edit: I don't think etched sigil casts proc area damage, so feel free to replace that stat... forgot about it when putting together =).
Other edit: once you get to clearing TX fast, swap out APD / Halo for something like Avarice band, and use both ranslor's and goldwrap.

Am going to play around with this myself. Nice link.
Hi! I agree with what TheKore said below. Maybe let her try to start a new Wiz from scratch so she can have a better understanding on how to play it. The first time I played a couple of seasons ago, I really had no idea back then. My boyfriend and his friends carried me from level 0 to whatever GR they were doing. I was just trailing them, trying to keep up while looting All I know was I wanted Monk and I want 7sided strike! But now, he can legit say that I'm getting better!
thanks for the help guys. And believe me. I am trying all your suggestions. She has been playing Diablo for couple years. She's leveled each class on her own. I never rush her. I don't get why she doesn't understand builds.
Look up the numlock trick and try it out with the flash fire build, with numlock basically holding down diamond skin, exposive blast, and frost nova all she'll have to worry about is pressing electrocute and teleport which you can bind to left mouse and right mouse click. And even better if she has a mouse with macro functionality you can bind the whole sequence of keys for the numlock trick to work to one macro and toggle it on and off.

Out of curiosity, did you rush her to 70?

You might try something like this:

Anyway, you might want to check out these links: Wizard Leveling, Wizard Fresh Level 70. I think these will help her to progress her Wiz.

Have her play on Normal if that's how she likes to play.
You can't progress without learning how to get better at something. As obvious as that sounds...
