In D2 it seems that a lot of the items are biased towards a melee characters. For example think about all of the weapons you can find that give an increase to melee damage. Now how about weapons, or really any items, that increase magic damage? I can only think of a few and they are uniques.
Even outside of damage mods, there are a lot of bonuses that are only applied to hack and slashers: prevent monster heal, life steal, mana steal, open wounds, critical hit, % chance to cast spell X on attack just to name a few. Some of these bonuses could be applied to ranged caster abilities but they aren't. Perhaps it's to offset the risk of closing in for hand-to-hand combat, but SOME of them should transfer over.
Come on Blizzard, throw the casters a bone instead of of just boneing them...
lol Casters have the option of buy really decent stuff from the NPC that could increase they damage with +skills.
But i'm sure we will have a magic crit mod, once we alll kno by the wiz skills description that we will have critical with spells.
I also think that increase magical damage or increase damage with 'x' element will appear...

I know u can buy plus to skill items from NPCs more easily, but you can also get plus to skill items for melee characters relatively easily too. so it doesn't really even out.

Is not that easy in weapons...(we are talking about weapons right? No sense compere the other items cuz everyone looks for almost the same..).
