Barbarian shoulderpads in D2 clashed with the helmet that was 2.5 times taller than his actual head (counting the ridiculously oversized horns) even when he just stands still and doesn't move. I can provide screenshots if you wish.
Do you mean that a helmet in D2 was huge, or that D2 had shoulder pads that are 2X taller?
Obviously, Bashiok has no real say in the development of D3, but it's nice to see that someone who the Blizzard Fanbois can't dismiss as an 'emo' says that the shoulder pads are too big.

D3 Pros: Outdoors environment, night time environment, female Barbarian, rune spell system, the Wizard class
D3 Cons: Fantasy architecture, fantasy armor, fanstasy weapons, no shaders.
I am the reembodiment of Shakespeare, although I am also a victim of mild brain trauma, thus my mind has been CRIPPLED!! When I write books, the original plot always redirects to a silly story about nonsense. My train of thought gets derailed constantly and runs off into the forests. I usually just hit a tree and ask my woodland critters to escort me back to the tracks.... Mostly just follow Jeremy, He is a penguin wearing a redundant tuxedo, but he does know the quickest and most magical route back to the safety to the tracks!
Ehhh it's impossible for a 2d image to clash like Kenzai is talking about. He's talking about when two 3D objects clash and enter into eachother which isn't supposed to happen, it just does in 3D sometimes.
Oh come on, clipping is extremely common. I doubt you can find a 3d game void of clipping issues both large and small.

I said it before and I'll say it again.. this is more of a nit pick than anything else, and shouldn't even really be bought up in these discussions. I'm sure blizzard is aware of the clipping, and will try to fix it if they can, but if its not a glaring problem, it really isn't a big deal at all.
Also i dont know how possible it is to prevent this but, the barb was almost directly passing through the Thousand Pounder.
yea i hated that on the vide. Should be like in Nox, the warrior has this same charging skill but he actually stop on solid thing. It also felt and was really powerful with those sounds. Right now in d3 it looks silly but that will most certainly change

As if they didn't already steal enough from Nox. The new interface is an exact Nox replica - aim with your mouse but trigger spells from the hotbar. Exactly the same.
Don't forget that in Nox, you get dizzy for a sec when you hit something with your head.

What im afraid is, even if he will stop, how close? They have to be very careful about that when there are monsters of different sizes. Theres the possibility that the model will stop before making impact or stop too late so that the models still "enter each other".
It's obviously intentional, and some of your precious immersiveness will have to be sacrificed for the gameplay sake. I hope to god they don't really try to tune everything to laws of physics or whatever. Imagine how retarded it would be if he would stop on impact? Who took the damage? It would seem like the barbarian suffered the exact amount of force as the monster (and in this case the boss is kinda bigger so that makes me wonder who would it hurt more). Also, you can see in the trailer how the barbarian charges through to a safe distance, uses a ranged attack, and when the boss comes near he uses leap to escape his melee range (for obvious reasons). Imagine if he would headbutt the monster each time, he would have to turn around and walk back to create a distance and then repeat. How stupid would that be!
Yes... Looks like non-aiming skills are tied to the hotbar. I just wonder how many of those there will be.
About the spell. I actually think it's like a crowd-breaker. Imagine 20 zombies and you charge into them - you shouldn't just bump onto the first one - i think the spell doesn't limit the length of how far you can go, it just makes monsters conform. And with a big boss monster, it's hard to make him conform to you.
Anyway, you seem like you didn't play a lot of 3D games if you are bothered with clipping problems that much. People normally don't see them and don't care or pay attention. And not like they didn't exist in D3. I remember being able to 'get inside' Baal in the throne room and step over injured NPCs in A5, not to mention overlapping of flat corpse sprites on the ground that seemed to appear randomly one on top of the other when you move around.
The skill bar can have aiming skills cuz your mouse is always on the screen. if you hit the key for an aiming skill it should just go in the direction of where the mouse is at.

My life is like a dragon, first praised, then hated, now lost.
I'd rather hit a button and have my mouse cursor change for the appropriate spell and then click where I want it go. Pretty much like reading spell scrolls in D1.

Sucking Sedatives Down Drains?

Seducing Sexy Dainty Damsels?

If it isn't any of those.... I guess I've failed you as a forum member.
Kill me now, plz.
Over confidence is the rot.
Honestly I'd rather Seduce Sexy Dainty Damsels.
But alas, my heart is split in twine by the cutting edge of sorrowful misfortune!
Over confidence is the rot.
maybe if you like emo, turn of the century poetry with a hint of cheesiness thrown in for good measure.
There I go again....

I realize it's common but I was just trying to clarify what he was talking about.

Also, looks like that Diablo Art petition did a lot of good.
Good ol days of art controversy.. or not
